Looked around and didnt see anything that really matched my issue, maybe i just dont know how to search right....
Basicly at idle the tach bounces around a little and then when i go to pull on it, it starts breaking up and missing at around 4500rpm no matter if its 7 or 18psi. Tried completly different plugs and wires and the plugs are gapped all the way down to .020 just to see if it would work. Initaily was missing and gapped the plugs down from .038 to .022 and it went away, and now its back . Any ideas?
It comes into boost very hard and pulls hard until it starts breaking up around 4500-5k. Im seeing its been recomended in other threads that its a boost leak, but thats not what this is. Its a definate spark related issue. The primary coil resistance isnt within spec of what the chiltons says. It says it supposed to be .70-.86 ohns and i was getting 1.1 to 1.3. The secondary checked out fine. But i have yet to read that a bad coil pack would cause the tach to bounce around. Im reading thats a transistor issue.
