You're saying 2g mani, but is'nt your car a 1g? I think a better comparison would be if both of ou were modded exactly the same. I feel it's actually a combo of boost and the cam but I am still a lil skeptical even though I understand what DSMonster is saying.

... a 2g exhaust manifold. That better? :hmm:

Drove it to GLD and threw my buddy's QTP's on. Track wouldn't hold, but still got a new personal best. [email protected] with a 1.74 60'

First 3 passes were a 10.7 and the last was a 10.8. Made a pass on my street tires before we left and had to pedal it most of the way down.

I think I will try to make another pass with the Hoosiers at a different track before calling it good. The 3 bolt still lives!

^^^ Yea, like I mentioned on the Link thread, you have an easy .3 sec to drop with improving just to a quality 1.6sec 60ft. I know you can do it Matt!! You got some good runs down with the 16g in that car. A sub-10.5sec hx35 car with near full weight? and it would be on the smallest twinscroll housing, stock intake manifold, stock 7.8 block, and old hks 272s? That would be nice :) . Go break the 3bolt!

I think Matt has proven that the stock 3bolt rear end isn't that weak!

I do have 2 more spare 3 bolts and threw an entire assembly in my hatch on the way to the track ROFL Never broken one yet...

All I know is I twisted my 3-bolt axle in half on a 1.7 60':( I'm sure it had a lot to do with my welded center diff though, as that puts more stress on the rear end when launching. At least I was able to pull the rest of what was left of my axle and drive home with 3wd.LOL

Ahh I don't think we were talking about your car.:hmm: But if he meant 2g exh mani understood. Let him clarify.

Gotta love it!:thumb:

BEAST!!!!!:hellyeah:

Nice runs. When I first saw the video I thought shit he broke my record. Thats false advertisement. LOL. But hell mine was on street tires.

Great runs man very impressive. You hitting these numbers at 30+ psi on a stock 6 bolt give me some reassurance with my six bolt with stock 1g rods and evo 9 pistons. Keep up the good work!!!

Mr peppers we are going to have to have to meet up at the track this year. I'm trying to get my al rod 2.0 done soon so I can get some runs in on my twinscroll hx35 setup. Clearancing the block is holding me up big time or I'd be breaking the motor in by now.

Maybe i missed it somewhere, whats done to the tranny/drivetrain. Im gonna try for 10's on my stock block and tranny.

Sure thing, WIDSM! Just have to let me know who you are on widsm.org haha

Stock 6 bolt and stock drivetrain down to the 3 bolt rear end and 2 spider. Trans has been gone through by Tim Zimmer but still technically stock.

I think the next time I see the track it will be on the auto setup. Clutch started to slip a little bit the last few passes and today I broke a 3-4 shift fork when it locked me out of gear. Took the trans off and noticed a couple cracks through the clutch disc hub just outside the springs. Perhaps why it was locking me out of gear near 8k. Still undecided on throwing a spare 6 puck in there and my spare shift fork but nows really the perfect time to get the auto shell up and going...

Nice job man. I pioneered the Holset situation for imports in the Spokane area on Hondas about 5-6 years ago. Everyone thought i was nuts for using a diesel turbo on on 4cyl honda. Oh how the times have changed. Been tryin to also decide on a turbo to run on my new DSM project. Was thinkin of a Precision billet 6262, but considering an HX35.

Im not on that site much. The word pretentious comes to mind when I think of the site.
I think the auto would be good thing to switch to. It'll save you a lot of headache in the long run. I wish I had gone that route.

Are you just swapping you motor and set up into this new shell, or are you swapping the auto drivetrain into your talon like Kennys doing?!

The auto set up is going in his shell he has right now which is even cleaner than his car believe it or not... LOL
