So I and a buddy are going to head to the track Saturday night and I am inviting anyone who wants to go. I will be running my freshly tuned SD and e85 monster at the track, and my buddy will be doing an mildly built SRT4. Also another member here (Yiddie) may make it out in his mild 2g, if he decides to grow a pair and race it! ;) All in good fun Greg!! Anyone is welcome to come. It is just a regular Sat night street drags night, also they say the AZ's fastest street cars will be there. Not sure how many people will be there since Firebird is having there Modified Mag night. Any who, let me know if you guys are coming!

Not sure if there is a meet point anywhere. I just shoot up the the 303 and to grand. Maybe meet there?

Alight I will text you in a bit. I am having a buddy get to my place on dysart and McDowell at 4 probably leave here at 415 or 430 then there is a gas station next to the 303 and grand that I am going to stop at and get bags of ice. Maybe meet there? Depending where your at. I will text you and let you know details.

Ran like shit! I was missing all the way down the track throughout the rpm range. Gapped the plugs tighter for the second run. Same thing. When I got home I noticed a ground strap from the IM to the firewall was not connected, so may have been the problem with the miss. Then on the way home I was not making boost at all and WOT yeilded only 2"hg max. So today in going to inspect further but last night all vacuum lines seemed good and couplers that could be seen easily looked fine.

Anyway, I only trapped 14.9 both times at 102 and 101 mph . There is so much room for improvement, hopefully fix it all before the next weekend.

Oh and Donnie, sadly Rick made it out last To watch and I didn't do good at all!

OMG, yeah, there is like another 12MPH for improvement, ROFL! Those are 14b on pump gas times! What plugs are you on, and what are they gapped to?

Plugs were at .28, so blowotu being my initial thought I gapped them to .20 and had the same problem. and they are BPR7es'. I am going to figure out my boost problem, attach that ground strap and try again.

Easily. Last time i ran at speedworld on a e85 16g setup, i trapped 96 in the 1/8. That is with a 1.8 60', sideways through all of 1st, and popping the hg at the top of 3rd from a failing alternator. Lot's of e85 16g setup are trapping mid 120's.

I also trapped 107 with the only mods being, 16g, 850's, 255 wally, and my eprom tune. Full stock exhaust, and intercooler setup.

Sounds like he has a massive boost leak, or bad turbo, and the tune needs some work. Otherwise it's a solid car.

You'd have to be moving a shit ton of air to get blowout, not going to happen on a 16g even with the wg line pulled off. They need to be at .28. If the car ran good after Phuong went through it, id suspect it would not be a fuel breakup but something ignition related. Check the wires, and the coil pack. Also agree with Donnie on massive boost leak. Look for a coupler to be blown completely off, LOL. But all seriousness, I agree with Donnie 100%. I along with some other friends of mine made over 400whp on E316g, me running race gas and my friend running pump and meth injection. I would expect the same in Arizona but on methanol.

Wasnt a boost leak at all, if it was then it wasnt a big one till i left, I didnt blow a coupler till I was on the way home and it ran fine, besides no boost after the fact. I am thinking it has somethign to do with the ground strap not being on, that is the only thing that was different between when it was tuned and last night.

The boost leak comment was regarding the no boost on the way home situation. Were you running lean at all? I have found that with the ground strap from the firewall to mani off, the fuel pump doesn't run as hard. I have a piece of battery cable running directly from the negative terminal of my battery, to the firewall. As a result my fuel pump voltage went up .5v.

Ok then ya that was the situation with the way home LOL. And maybe that is why it was sputtering cause the pumps werent pushing enough fuel? Idk, that is the only thing that changed overall from the two different times. Once I get my other fan and put my car back together I will go out and see again.
