When I installed my subwoofer over Spring break, I pulled the battery out to slide my wire through the firewall. I noticed this big loose wire. It plugs into something under the battery platform.

Does anyone know:
What is it for?
Where does it plug in?
What is the thing it is attached to on the other end?

That is a hose, not a wire.

Did you remove the charcoal canister? Looks like your emissions system.

Under that battery tray do you see a large black cylinder?

Yeah hose, sorry.
I did not remove it but maybe the previous owner did. I don't know what it looks like.

Are you talking about in the last pic? I believe that is the fuel filter.

I have the stock intake but it's not long enough to reach that far.

EDIT: at least I don't think it is. Like that first pic, it is against the firewall right now. If I pull it under the battery stand I will see but I don't know.

EDIT 2: I just checked. I have the recirculation hose from the valve cover over that.

That hose connects to the bottom of the intake. On that last picture posted by MY1GDSM, you can see where it connects on the left side. It should fit snug; you'll know when you put it in, that it's where it goes. You should make a PCV can for the hose connected to your valve cover.

If that hose goes to the intake where does the one from the valve cover go? (And I plan to hook up a catch can but haven't got one yet.)

The line for the valve cover goes to the one closer to the persons hand... .

Sorry never said thank you. I pulled out my battery again and battery stand and pulled the hose back over to the intake. I suppose the previous owner had an aftermarket intake and then put the stock one back in before selling. With an aftermarket one, I suppose it just sits out of the way.

I still don't know what it is for though.

As said above... it's part of emissions system it goes to the Charcoal canister.

Yes I was. And wow that link was SUPER helpful. I know a lot of people remove their emissions on here and there are many many people it seems who recommend to delete the PCV valve.
