Emissions will (should) fail it due to being a pre cat leak, and it's noisy when you are WOT. Sounds cool at first just like a vented BOV but will get annoying.

However, it can help with possible boost creep issues.

There are absolutely no power gains.

+1 on it eventually getting annoying. Might wanna keep that in mind if your town/city has strict noise pollution laws.

An o2 dump is usually a band-aid fix for boost creeping issues. Altho, it can help or reduce creep issues, it doesnt always eliminate the problem.

Its all preference really. It doesnt give any more horsepower, altho some say it increases spool time slightly. I've never ran one, Ive always used an external wastegate.

some say it increases spool time slightly.

I don't know how it would even affect spool as the pipe is closed until your boot level is reached..

It's just a cheaper way to have an external gate if on a bolt out housing IMO.

There are instances in the higher HP range where exhaust flow is crucial and a dump would be wanted but you are far from it :coy:

The theory behind any performance gains is that when you Recirculate the Wastegate exhaust gas back into the main stream of ehxuast gast you are going to be creating turbulance.

Now is that enough turbulance created to justify a dumped O2 housing? *shrug*

that being said... I've got a dumped O2 housing that i'm gonna give a shot on my 97. :)

Yeah, I suppose that would make sense. I never run an internal wastegate. Its been years since I had a bolt on turbo. haha
