Do you need new OEM parts... well no, but are you willing to chance your newly built stroker motor over $400 or so in parts? I wouldn't.

Best awnser , yes for all new stuff on the timing stuff, why put that money into and not buy all new stuff? U don't wanna be 500 miles down the build and have a pump fail , and yes oem tensioner and oil pump, water pump doesn't HAVE to be oem but it wouldn't hurt

Timing belt no ive used others no problems lasted long as oem oneis replace everything else oem tensioner, pulleys water pump never used oem 40 dollar ones ive used lasted years and years for over 10 years doing using them, oem tensioner and pulleys get a belt pump and call it a day or get a kit up to you in the end.

Check your harmonic balancer while your at it

thats why i asked because i didnt know if some of the pullys would wear out and if oem stuff was better then some of the aftermarket stuff on certain things. the machine shop i took the block to told me to get a brand new oem harmonic balancer, he told me he wouldnt guarantee the balancing if i didnt have a brand new on on there and he said oem is the best way to go on them. im getting married in may and my fiancee told me she wants to take this on our honeymoon so thats y im in such a hurry to get it done now. so any info yall can shoot me is much apreciated, thanks alot!!

Im putting the car back together and have run into some trouble! I am putting poly mounts back in the car and I can get the 2 side one in but am unable to get the back one and front one in! The back needs to go down and the front needs to come up and since the side ones are in the motor will not move at all!! My buddy that was helping me had to go back to work and my fiance is wanting to take this car on our honeymoon in 2 weeks so any advice you all can help me with would be much apreciated!! thanks
