trunk battery relocation question

Ok well I was looking at everyones way of doing a battery relocation and I had read some people that had taken the easy way of just grounding the negative at the engine bay and running a positive wire all the way to the back and just running it to the positive on the battery and running a negative cable from neg. post to ground on the car. Well now my question is, what size inline fuse should I use for the positive wire? Like would an 80amp be fine? Anyone else do their battery relocation like I did mine?
 
Your alternator is 90amp stock ( I believe...). I'd put a minimum on a 150amp fuse inline. (do they make 120amp fuses?) Larger if you're running additional accessories from the stock setup.
That will give you leeway for future upgrades or incase something so kaboom.

Why would you fuse a cable going directly to the starter?

The amp rating of the alternator is irrelevant to the question...the method stated will work, and does not need a fuse...................................
 
You shouldn't need a fuse as the car has a fuse stock in the fuse box.
 
I put a moroso kill switch through the rear key hole. Im not 100% positive but i thought if you relocated the battery to the trunk you needed a kill switch on the back of the car for drag racing.

Yes you need a kill switch for track use, at most tracks anyway.
 
check out the battery relocation i inherited this after i ground out all the rust and sprayed it with primer

yup all that red wire on the right there goes to the fuel pump and its about like 5 feet long. if only i could find that previous owner with a baseball bat in hand
 
Must be nice to have all that space in your trunk , instead os a huge bulge in the trunk.
