ive searched all over the forums for the last week looking for bits and pieces of info. im rebuilding my engine and my goal is 300hp at the wheel on a dyno, i know so far that i can use my stock crank and the block will hold, i will be running a stock gsx turbo until i break in the engine, i have the dsmlink v3 program and will be tuning it, i just cant find what size injectors to run? 1000cc? and can i make gsx injectors fit in the 420a head?

Dsmlink is for 4g63t powered cars, it will not work on the 420A. You will need to run megasquirt to tune with.

Okay, so lets step back for a second.

If you want this build to be a lot less confusing, you must realize you do NOT have a Mitsubishi motor. It's a Chrysler motor. Nothing will fit on a 420a that came from a 4G63.

Now, you CAN meet your power levels. I suggest taking a look at 2gnt.com for detailed info on boosting 420As. You will need Megasuirt though, not DSMLink. The 420a's bottom end will not hold up with the power you are planing to make. So you will need a forged bottom end. I suggest ModernPerformance.com for a bottom end kit or have a shop build one for you. Upgrade your clutch and fuel system and you should be good.

Do you have a Mitsubishi flanged manifold for your 420a?

thats alot of good stuff their. if you are runnimg a stock gsx turbo you need an hmi lange for the turbo and 450 from accel will do the trick for that kind of power.go with 8.8/1 forged pistons and rods you will be set with msns.

im using eagle rods and weisco pistons with 8:8:1 compression. arp main and head studs, acl bearings, titanium valves and springs, stage two racing cams, racing timing belt and cometic headgasket, and about the megasquirt tuning? anyone have any experience with that? im new to tuning.

I thought you said you already bought everything?

Yes, most 420a tuners use megasquirt or SAFC. But with SAFC you can only use 660cc injectors (maximum)

wow, some people really need to read the previous posts in whole before replying. DSMLink won't work like stated by Josh and Silver... You'll need either Megasquirt or SAFC, Megasquirt if you're going over 660cc injectors. As for the rest, I really suggest you do a bit of research before attempting this. Here a lil start: Let me google that for you
