I wanted to see what everyone thought of this setup.

FP Race Manifold
Punishment Racing o2 Housing package with Tial MV-s
Holset H1C turbo

Now this is the hardware for it:

FFWDConnection
ARP Bolt kit for the FP manifold, and the 4 bolt o2 housing kit.
(Both Combi 2 on this page)
FFWD Connection - Race Injuns That Will Freeze Your Brain

ExtremePsi
4 ply OEM manifold gasket, OEM manifold stud and nut kit with washers

Then I have a single layered SS o2 housing gasket that cam with my o2 housing kit. (or should I go to MLS?)

I also need the turbo inlet gasket and read bad reviews on the single layered ones so should I do the MLS SS one like FP sells, or a cooper embossed one on FFWD?

You and everyone already knows the quality of the first 3 parts so I don't know why you are asking. The Holset threads even show multiple people running that same setup including myself minus the H1C.

As for the ARP hardware, it's fine as long as you use the OEM washers for the manifold which has been brought up before due to bolts breaking. The OEM studs are just as good (2 regular, 2 Evo/o2 housing).

Again, there are enough posts stating that the steel turbo inlet gasket cracks and warps. As for the o2 housing, I'm only aware of the thin steel ones so please post a link of the MLS one you are claiming. Be sure to trim the gasket too, and when you get it you'll see why when you match it up to the parts.

Thats the same exact set-up im gonna run. Only difference is, im getting FFWD's ss manifold studs and definately going with their copper gasket kit, from manifold to dp.

Well I saw that the Copper gasket is for 6 bolts and the ports are sometimes small if you got port work done.

Also should I get the mls turbo inlet gasket off FP or the embossed one? What type do I need t4 or t3?

So here is what I decided on:

ARP Bolt kit for the FP manifold (oem washers?)
4 bolt o2 housing kit
4 ply OEM manifold gasket
OEM manifold stud and nut kit with washers

o2 housing gasket (SS or the copper embossed one)?

turbo inlet gasket (MLS or the copper embossed one)?

I just want to make sure I won't have a leak. thanks.

Does anyone have any input on the stuff I have listed here? I am trying to order this ASAP but want to make sure everything is good.

Which gaskets should I get for the o2 and turbo inlet?

Get the standard SS gaskets. Everything else is good.

You know better than to bump threads, though. :)

I was looking for an answer more to as why.

Or is it just plain better, they talk this gasket up like it is the best so jwing.

So what I am asking is which is the better buy.

FFWD embossed o2 gasket (will this fit my punishment racing o2 mv-s package?)

Or just the regular single layer SS one.

Also for the turbo inlet, should I get the 7cm copper embossed one, or the

or the FP MLS SS one. (7cm?)

Possibly could I get a pro and con of them?

Your questions have already been answered.

yeah everything is good but those 2 gaskets, and the people who commented on this thread can't seem to agree on which gaskets (turbo and o2 housing) to use.

I just wanna know the pros and cons of the cooper embossed ones against the SS ones.

Thanks.

You probably will not see any improvement one over the other as long as they are installed correctly, but I would go with the copper's because they are embossed and copper is softer than SS which will help with the seal.

If you buy the correct gaskets they should all fit.

I don't use a gasket between the turbo and the manifold, nor between the O2 and the turbine housing. I use a thin layer of axle grease. If the surfaces are smooth and flat enough a gasket will just give it a place to burn out. I got the idea from 80's turbo dodges, which you can't buy a turbo gasket for, never even had one from the factory.

Thanks man, I am just anal about this because I don't wanna mess something up, or get a certain type of gasket and then have people be like yo you should've gotten this kind. etc.

Thanks again guys.
