This stuff looks awesome.I'm really thinking about doing the window trim on my 1g with this and maybe the cowl.

I just did the drip rails on my spyder. I think it came out great :rocks:

I used 4 coats of plastidip and 3 coats of clear

Pictures aren't that great but they look almost perfect in person. The reason I say almost perfect is that you can see the texture of the plastidip, but only if you get within a couple inches of it. It also lost a bit of its rubbery feel so it feels closer to oem. It also shines like it should

The trim under the mirror was not painted.

I also did some interior pieces but did not use any clear. It turned out looking like the rest of the interior pieces, only black instead of gray

Here it is on my workbench :D

Seems like it would be cool if you could plastidip the car and then paint over the plastidip. When you are tired of the color etc, peel it off and start again haha.

Nice pics.... looks really clean
I need time!! I haven't been able to replace my starter that I've had for like 2 weeks now

I followed in the fashion

i just found out my car was rattle canned in a few spots thus they want 1200 + paint to paint it vs the 500 before... this is looking like a much better alternative. much props on this.

well my car has been sitting for god knows how many months at my job but the plastidip that is on my hood, front fenders, side mirrors and wing are holding up great...we have been getting hammered with freezing temps, tons of snow and rain along with wind in the mix. No signs of wear at all... will be finishing the car pretty soon since im getting ready to put everything back together.

Flat black car, flat black FMIC, and a flat black exhaust tip..hmmmm sounds good to me :)

I'm about to get off work and head to Home Depot to try this out! Would it be easier to possibly apply this with maybe a few quarts of plastidip and a foam brush? I imagine it would work the same, right? Has anyone tried the clear-coat yet?

I used duplicolor clear when I did my drip rails. It turned a little glossy, like the oem trim pieces, and took away the rubbery feel.

Edit: forgot to mention that it has stood up to the recent rainstorm and slight hail that we just had

I rather get a real paint job. It doesnt seem like this stuff would hold up

Ive had my eclipse sitting out side for 5 months, TONS AND TONS of snow, ice, rain and hail. Plastidip is still holding up like a champ. But then again, i spray about 10 coats so even if a rock hits it, it wont even chip LOL :p

So i painted the car at work today...here are a couple prep shops. The third picture was after the car was sprayed..got a little bored haha.

Looks good, but you should have covered up your exhaust when you did it
