Yep. ITs a guy from Philly. Ive seen the car before. Its def a scam. Email the dude and tell him to take it down or report to the authorities. Or scam him back and report to the authorities.

Man I wish I could get a GSX that look's like that for that price no doubt it's a scam alright.

I e-mailed them telling them I have cash in hand and ready to buy immediately. Let's see where I can go with this.

This isn't the first time someone has used his pictures as a scam.

I will keep this thread updated, I am going to extract as much useful information as I can and then turn it over to the authorities. Only so much a commoner like me can do without going to jail myself.

The authorities wont do anything. Its not breaking any law, its a civil matter. AND craigslist has some insane privacy laws. Remember the people who sold their grandparents? Or they guy who tried to sale his kid? Took the FBI months or arm twisting for craigslist to give up the registered email address.

EDIT: AND if you are stupid enough to buy a car from CL without seeing it and driving it and them having the title as well.

Hence why I would like to find their angle and maybe get some information for the authorities.

He recently sold the car to another member.

If it was actually being sold for that price, I'd buy 2 .

He probably had it listed on CList then, which is how the scammer got the pictures.

Ive seen these on craigslist alot. Hes probably going to say that he is in the military and he has to ship it to you. So you have to send him half the money now and when you get the car you can send the other half. But you never get the car and he keeps half the money.

Let's hope so, if he does and I get the information, the authorities can use it to set him up.
