29 people havn't been in a diesel truck and don't know what fun is.

1. You assume we have never driven/been in a diesel.
2. Thats your opinion (what fun is)
3. If you have a DSM its for going fast right? why not get the same engine (4g63) but in a much better body (my opinion here)

O and dude LOL at tiny wang LOL

I'm right you're wrong. :D

And no my DSM is for driving purposes only. I really don't spend money on it anymore.

i voted evo, i have ridden in a couple lightly modded cummins, i just hate how big they feel when driving them(though a 2wd might feel smaller?). so i would rather have a evo for a DD.

I found a 2003 White 2500 with 175k on it for 11900. Comes with all the bells and whistles but the tailgate is a little beat up. I use to work for a dealership o they are calling them to see if they can get it off them for whole sale and then sell it to me wholesale. If its the right price, it might just come out with the cummins.

Here are a couple of pictures

I voted for the Evo, but not because I don't like diesel trucks. My dad owns a Powerstroke that I have driven a few times and I know quite a few people that have a Cummins. If you still planned to mainly DD the DSM, I would've voted to get the truck because it's a great thing to have. You never know when you're going to need a truck (I borrow my dad's all the time when I move stuff), but I don't like DD'ing them. A big truck is just inconvenient at times, finding diesel can also be inconvenient at times, and when you drive one for awhile and then go back to a car you realize how much you missed driving a much smaller car around. Again, I'm not taking anything away from a Cummins, but if you want a DD, the Evo is more practical in my opinion. It gets better mileage, runs cheaper fuel (at least in my area), and can still haul around more people or luggage then a DSM.

What kind of person can't decide if they need a 4 door compact or a towing pickup truck? . . . Seriously. . . If it's for show, get a caddy V with the supercharger and put dubs on it. Or go away making a decision on whether you need to tow horses or blast through the woods with a 5point harness. . . . How can someone be wondering which to get between THESE two different animals???????

Buy my bosses Evo, then buy yourself a cheap tow rig!

I can say first hand, that Evo's do just fine in snow. ACD ftw.

DSMs are for going fast. A Dodge 2500 Cummins is for towing shit, cruising around, and getting sideways in the rain WHENEVER you feel like it with all that crazy torque :D(FUN)

An Evo would be badass, but he already has a wicked fast DSM. A fast car and a nice truck is more practical than 2 fast cars. It would be nice though :).

I think you would have more fun driving the evo as a DD, but then again the truck can be very useful for towing, If I were to ever get a truck it would definitely be a 2500 Dodge, but honestly if I was going to spend $13-$15k which is what I'm guessing your going to be spending I would for sure get the evo.

A '03-05 cummins quad cab with 100-140k miles on it runs about $18-22k from what i've been seeing. I've been lusting over evo 8/9s and '03-06 cummins 2500 quad cabs myself, lately more of the cummins.

I would only get a cummins that is the ho 04.5+.. I have had a 99, 03, 04.5, and an 07. The 04.5 is by far my favorite. Still, with diesel at 3.50+ a gallon and a good truck getting 16-19mpg, that can start to add up.

I would personally get the evo, but I liked the cummins too. Just do yourself a favor and get custom tunes instead of a generic programmer when you put a chip on it. It really is THAT big a difference.

Ya just found a 03 cummins quad cab with 175k on it for 11900. But yes cummins are expensive but run FOREVER.

Cummins engineered the best engine of them all. Tow, go fast, carry unlimited amount of passengers, fuel mileage, hardassness, and be king of the road.
