Well usally I drive to work. As Im getting ready for work I get called saying the other guy wants to drive. I was like ok that works. Well we arrive at work, the driver always backs into a stall. My car is sitting there parked(been parked in the lots for months). He starts backing up,I look back and yell OH SHIT!......MY CAR......and then all you hear is crunch


Being the nice guy I am I said and did nothing....

I dont have insurance on the car. I been slowly fixing her to geget her road worthy. Its almostraod worthy just waiting on my ecu......was gonna buy a turbo friday but looks like Im hitting a few junk yards this weekend.

You don't have to have insurance to file a claim. It will go on his insurance not yours. Should have told him to cough up his info.

you sir are an idiot, all you have to do is get the guys info, call his insurance and make a claim, you don't need insurance of your own. this looks to be about 1200-1500 worth of damage, even if you fix it yourself, you would have money in your pockey. the guys probably not even gonna get a ticket nor increased rates because of a small claim like this. i would still try to get his information if you can

A claim of that much and they are going to want to total the car. This is why it is more worth it sometimes to fix it yourself when the parts just bolt on, and have someone spray them for cheap. Even insurance estimators now will get used parts to fix your car because the parts aren't made anymore.

You should have insurance for one thing. It really disgusts me when people drive that dont, and you should have also said something to the guy, at least about buying new parts for you. Where I come from, thats an invite to get an ass beating.

It sounds like the car was sitting on private property for months. No need to have insurance if it's not being driven.

Ya I would of been pissed at the guy, but I'm also not going to start shit with a co-worker in my career. It's up to the driver to be responsible and man up for his poor driving. In this case, the guy didn't. And there really is nothing that can be done accept a verbal argument at work. Which could lead to allot worse then a fender, light, and some bumper clips.

If you weren't driving the car you don't need insurance; that's what the guy who backed into your parked car has insurance for. You're a doormat if you don't file a claim.

I wouldn't call him a doormat that. Who's to say this co-worker and him don't have a friendship. I wouldnt drag something on with a coworker in his situation because that could make it harder to work with some people. Also if the car was in my driveway and my parents or a friend did that, I would put it on them to fix it. If they don't I'd be un-impressed but I wouldn't ef the insurance on them over it. Plus that might get a write off title and it doesn't deserve it. Noone wants that

Man, file a claim. Its nothing personal, you'll get more money than you need to get it fixed. Who cares if it totals it out? You'll get even MORE money if they do.
