I would like to inform all the GS spyder owners on this web site that Weapon-R makes intakes for our cars own. They have two models the Dragon and the secret weapon. Both come with foam filters and for a long time I was running a custome intake with an AEM dryfilter which worked but after going to the weapon-r intake I have gotten alot better air flow and I could tell the difference in sound as well. If you buy from ebay they will range from 108 with shipping for the dragon to 160 and for the secret it has ranged from 175 to about 220. Good luck 4G64 owners. The years are from 1996-1999.

I am looking at having a supercharger made for it (if possible). Turbo is an option but it will take a lot of time for me to get it just right for turboing it. The radio trim is the stock trim I just painted it. I want to do something all the way left field you know.

It came with the radio...that is my old JVC I went back to Alpine but it should come with your radio. If this helps any, I also used my stock radio brackets as well.

DOHC Head + 16g = Win. Thos weapon r intakes are a bit pricy. You could get an AEM or K&N Kit for most cars for less than that. No ebay crap. And the Secret Weapon intake my friend put on his ION-2 before I convinced him to do a 2.0 redline swap was about the lowest quality product I have ever seen other than the filter element which I assume they just buy in bulk from some other company.

But hey, it looked really damn cool.

AEM costs way more then 108 bucks...I have one on my Accord and it cost me 250 bucks for the cold air one. But, the fact is that Weapon-R is the only company that makes intakes for the 96-99 4G64. This is the reason why I posted the thread for 4G64 owners who wants an intake, just like I posted a thread on how to make their own! I used AEM air filters on the intake I custom made for my car and I after having the Cotton filter on the car for years and I switching to a foam.I heard and felt the difference in my accleration along with the sound. Oh...and what's wrong with it looking cool??

I have tried plenty of plates but none allow me to fully press the stock trim down to fully close it.

Also try using your stock radio brackets because I adjusted mine to where the brace fitted to where my stock brezel snapped back on without any issues!!

I am looking to buy a Weapon R Secret Intake for my car, and was wondering how you liked yours? I've been trying to do some research but havn't found many reviews on it. I've noticed that most people like it, but seen some mixed reviews. Some say it's made poorly and is not wroth buying. I'm just trying to get some input before I buy it.

And would anyone know how much HP/MPG improvement you would get from this?

Thanks.

I had the Weaon R intake on mine as well and did feel a slight increase in performance. But it did kill my MPG a little bit.

I have a custom made AEM intake as well. I just wanted something that was made for the 2.4 you know. I like the Weapon-R intake. Now say that AEM is better but from what I have read is that foam filter had better flow and cotton filters didn't. It also said that it also let's me dirt into your intake as well, which is not good. It's ALL what you what to do. The Weapon-R sounds good and has more throttle response then the custom made one with the AEM filter. As far as the MPG I really don't know it seems it may have stayed the same because I only full up once a week (7-day week).
