ok so my question is will hot fuel going in to the motor say heated to about 185 deg f. would fuel heated to that atomize better than the the normal fuel temp from the tank. i am thinking about using a heat exchanger mounting it right behind the intake manifold and using the coolant lines going to the throttle body. don't hate on me for this if you all dont think it will help any at all just let me know. but i know that on the diesels on my ship we use fuel heaters. i know it is manly used for for keeping the fuel from gelling but it also helps with atomization for combustion. the auto ignition for 93 oct is about 536 so there isnt any worry of it just bursting in to flames or causing a fire hazard as long as nothing leaks and advise would be great full. this might just be a dumb idea but im just curious

You're better off using cold fuel on a turbo motor. Turbo pistons get REALLY hot on the combustion/exhaust stroke and it's relying on the intake stroke for cooling to keep from knocking on the compression stroke. This is why you can make much more power with methanol or e85.

Correct me but with engines colder is always better with air and fuel.

Not to mention nascar but the just about freeze the fuel so its denser (more power).
