My problem, when changing the fuel pump the line that goes from the sender to the rubber line got bent when I was trying to free the fitting.

My solution, drill out the hard line and put a bulkhead fitting, preferably -6an.

My question
, I was wondering if I replaced my whole feed line from the bulkhead fitting to the filter with -6an will the pump be able to keep the line pressurized since it is bigger then the stock line?

My research
on the Tuners site has shown me that a -6an line is about 2x bigger the the stock line so a 255walbro might not be able to keep the pressure up so if I were to get one of those new Jay Racing Pro Series PT341 Drop-in Fuel Pumps would that alone be able to keep the pressure up.

Also I know there would be no point to it but what about replacing the whole line with -4an line with the regular 255? Not much of an upgrade but more of a solution. -3an would be stock size according to the quote below.

References:

The lines delivering the fuel on the factory system are called 5/16" lines, but the outer diameter of those lines is only used as a point of reference when you're standing at the parts counter. Their inner diameter is about 3/16". Since AN lines are spec'd by their inner diameter, -6 is about twice the size of the factory lines.

Thanks

My setup: I have -6 SS line running from my fuel pump all the wayy to the engine compartment. In the engine compartment it hooks to an Earls fuel filter. Then from the filter more -6 an SS line to the fuel rail. I rain a Wally 225 lph, the smaller 225 not the big one. If you dont have a 225 already I could sell you a almost new one. I hooked it up and used it for 5-6 days. Anyway, I never had a problem. Started up quick everytime. -4 an would be for Oil PSI gauge and stuff like that, mechanical gauges.

I have had several friends run a Walbro 255 with the -6 fuel lines, they never had any problems. I also run -6 lines on a single Walbro 255 and have had no problems with dropping fuel pressure.

Here's more pictures of some solutions if you're interested: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/370847-fuel-sending-unit-fitting.html

Also, the stock fuel line I.D. is not much smaller than the I.D. of a -6 hose. Don't let th OD fool you. The ID od regular SS braided hose is only .34". You won't have any issues using it with a single Walbro 255 pump. Definitely don't try anything smaller than -6.
