Ive been looking, but I haven't found and have never really seen a DSM that was supposed to look hellaflush, and I don't think they could really pull it off. Some cars can, some can't, imo. But, DSM's can do stance:

OMG I love Supra Celica's and that one is SO FUGGIN SICK!

This is a highly entertaining thread. I gotta admit. I'm proud of this one. it tops all my Random threads.

I think those are bags.

and I only like bags on things that aren't suppose to be fast, like Mini Trucks, and Sweet 4 Door car's and what not.

I'm just about done with getting all the parts bought for my new coilover setup. Once the weather clears up I'll probably put it on. The fenders are getting rolled (and maybe a slight pull) and I'm going to slam it and take some pictures just for kicks. But then I'll set the suspension to a reasonable and functional level so I can autox it later in the spring.

I'm sure 245/40/17's on Evo 8 rims (17"x8" +38) doesn't qualify me for hellaflush by any means, but that's not the point. I'll give you some eye candy. It will have the hellafunctional stance.

With 245s you usually need to roll the lip on the fender well up. You might need spacers also for that, I know that +35 17" with a 245 fit though but it is close. If you find a good place to do fender rooling around here let me know I want take mine out alittle further.

So, about stanced DSMs... ;)

Its sad to say there isnt many that fit this type of look.
there are a handful that have pulled it off. And searching for pictures of them brings up all kinds of amazing looking cars.

I just posted "Stance" cars to shy away from the hating

I really don't think there is much of an argument against "stance", but rather is dislike for the "hellaflush" bit, at least in this community. I share the same sentiment, but can appreciate a well executed drop and set of wheels.

What kind of suspension setup does that blue WRX got to have so it can even drive with those wheels without rubbing on the fenders? I think that Subaru looks amazing but it doesn't even look possible to drive that thing going into a corner or under hard acceleration.

If I turn hard enough my Evo IX wheels with 245/45's on them rub in the rear and I've got a good 1" of wheel gap.

:dsm:

I got pissed off a few years ago and took a hammer to that lip inside of the wheel well, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Thats it though, everyone out here that rolls fenders won't do it to my rears because the upper control arms are in the way. They tell me I have to drop the ENTIRE rear suspension which doesn't sound right to me.
I want to put some crazy offset RPF1's that are 9" wide and have them wrapped with 275/45's but going hard into a turn already makes me cringe.

:dsm:

haha yea i did the same over the summer, took a hammer wrapped in a dirty oil rag and smacked the **** out of the inner lip till it was completely bent smooth (real classy I know) with the body. good way to stress releif after work haha. haven't had a single problem with rubbing since even taking hard turns at speed :thumb:

hey wes I'm sending you a pm

There's a local with an Eastwood fender roller. If you ask him nicely, you might be allowed to use it.

I'm able to run the 245's on the Evo rims without rubbing yet at stock height. When I roll them, I'm going to see if I can fit a 255 or 265 later down the road with a spacer. It will take a pretty good pull to fit the 265's. I'm not even sure it's possible yet.

Roof racks = awesome, and yes will be on my colt. along with a luggage setup because my car is tiny
Form >< Function, its your car, titles in your name. Do what you please.

Now about more stanced evo's and ae's, continue :)

we all can...but setting the wheels on its side rather than on its correct position...thats what kills me....

stance > hellaflush
