Alright guys tax return time is almost here and im not sure about you guys but im looking to get rid of the tiny 14b and looking for some decent power........

Current mods are: 2mas/2g elbow/ACT 2600/Fidanza flywheel/DSMlink 2.5/UICP/MBC/Open dp/18lbs.......

Soooo im looking for some advice on what turbo setup to go with my goal is making 400whp on pump while still being a decent daily.....

Im now thinking of going with either a PTE6262 or a Holset HX40 i already have a manifold and injectors just trying to decide what would be best.....

If you guys have any other suggestions please post up!

I'm partial to holsets, cheap, sturdy, cheap, reliable, cheap, efficient, cheap, powerful. maybe an hx35 instead of the 40 but thats just me.

as far as fmic's go, you'll definitely need one for a bigger turbo, I'd personally suggest the punishment racing or VR speed factory fmic kit. very affordable, and very good quality, under 400 if I remember correctly
 
Sorry guys i forgot to mention i already have a FMIC its just not installed yet......

A 8blade HX35 would most likely meet my goals and still have room for more power that was another choice as well.......
 
What's up people, I hope some one could lead me in the right direction. I have a 99gsx A/T. I put a jdm in it because at the time I diddn't know any better, but it needs a new turbo and I just dont know what the diffrence between a manual trans turbo and a A/T turbo are? So I don't know what to chose? Any sugestions on an upgraded turbo rather than the 13g already in it would be greatly apreciated. And what is the difrence between the A/T and M/T turbo? Sorry if I jumped off a subject and thanks either way.
