Hey, i havent been on in a while but i came to conclusion i am lost LOL and was wondering if anyone has any sort of advice me or ideas. Or even if some people can post what they do for a living. I am not going to college dont plan on going dont believe in paying that much money for an education when i can easly self teach my self. I know of plenty of people who went to college and now are still living at home not even doing what they planned..

So if anyone has any ideas, advice, suggestions,or examples of successful jobs one might have that doesnt require any college. Thanks

Well i have 1 suggestion. GO TO COLLEGE. A friend of mine that just moved back to Florida from NY, was qualified for over $20,000 in grants to go to school there. There is soo much free money for people to go to school, its hard to get away with as an excuse. I applied for financial aid here in FL, and got $3k per semester. Bettering your education is ALWAYS a good idea.

EXAMPLE. Take a damn welding class and get a job as a welder, there are thousands of jobs welders can do in a countless number of fields, and can also be very helpful when working on your own car.

Psyching yourself out of going to school is a stupid excuse for being lazy.
:nono:

Im 19 and go to college full time. I was working at a local hospital in the kitchen. Didnt make shit but I worked a lot of hours for being only "occasional". It helped fund my car purchase and tons of other stuff. I actually got fired from it last week and within only a couple of days I got a job at a machine shop 15 miles from my house. Talk about a promotion LOL.

O and as a little side not, I do not go to school for anything that would help me get a job at the shop.

You don't necessary have to go to those big colleges that cost alot, you can go to those city colleges and get a associates degree which is really cheap and easy to get.

Or you can go to those state colleges something similar to CSULA which is cal state university los angeles alot cheaper then UCLA for a bachelors degree.

In general getting a degree opens up the job field for anyone.

Go to school to convince employers you should be hired and continue to teach yourself to prove them right.

Think of the degree as the key to a door, no more. It's a lot of effort but better than being locked out of the good jobs.

Been there, done that.

Go to school! Its worth it in the long run. Might not seem like it. Maybe your friends that are still living at home with a degree, didn't get the right degree. A lot of people out there get a degree in a field that doesn't offer a lot of jobs. You just have to find the right field :thumb: currently I'm just working part time as a cashier and going to college full time. It helped buy my car :D

I'm in the ARMY, I was just looking at what classes I should take, came back to tuners and BAM! this post is on here! weird.

Go to college. Its a good idea.

Lol mcdonalds good one, but yes I see what you guys are saying I mean I'm just not a school guy. But idk looks like I might have to eventually. even to be a cop in some places require college credits. I don't even know what I want to do I was going to be a mechanic but idk what happened with that idea LOL i don't know I guess I'll just have to think about college.

Nah, I was actually in DEP for marines. Ended up saying its not my choice of career for several reasons one being the most was family and what not and also if it chose to be career i wouldnt be able to have an actual house until retired which is not what i want my life to be. But thats besides the point i think i am going to work some fulltime job now for a few years until 21 then get a job being a Driver/Guard for armoured trucks.

My dad did that when he was younger for like 10 years and i used to be there when i was younger and its a very interesting job. I was wondering if anyone else on here has a job like that? and if so what would you say?
