if you have the funds to do all that then buy the s2k have it as DD(for now) and keep your gsx for awd FUN and finish the project...

like they said its just problably because you havent driven your dsm for so long

your just seeing too many nice s2k all day that is motivating you to move on from dsm...now imagine having your dsm outside your shop ready and i bet you those s2k owners will be asking about your dsm all day long

i blew up my 2g awd.. so i went out and got a loan for my ap1 silver s2k... bottom line is s2000 quality parts are way top expensive for me.. im selling my s2000.. but i must admit i love that damn car.. they are a really good car stock

I wanted an S2k at one point but selling that GSX for the s2k will cause you to hate yourself later. I'm mad jealous of the G37 though. I'd give my GSX up for one in a heartbeat.

i love the G, but it sucks on gas.

Are you a part of NGC (National G Club)? If it was me I was throw the Stillen Supercharger on that VQ37HR VVEL.

nope not worth it, and stillen is a garbage anyways. one of the worst company's to deal with plus there kit is such low quality for what your paying.

You have no idea how bad I want your rust free car! If you do decide to part with her ill take the body :D But since its soo nice and everything, I would finnish the project, you will be happy when its done, Projects take time.

Ya there not your 100% correct, but my shop caters to this crowd so i have an in when it comes to parts and services.

if you are keep seeing these s2k daily, its going to motivate you and want you to get them. try hanging around 500-800hp dsm and see how that motivates you. i believe you are hanging around the wrong crow. Bible said, you are who your friends are... haha hope that helps

I agree with this post 100% Not driving the DSM for so long and driving all those modded S2k's has made you want one of your own. I think you would be more then happy with the DSM when it's done although I don't know what your exact plans are for it. It looks clean as hell so far though. S2k's are damn nice looking cars, and seem like they would be a blast to drive (I've never driven one), but my guess is you'll forget about wanting one when you finish your build. Either way I don't think you'll end up with a bad car.

PS: I highly doubt you'll find too many people on a DSM forum that will tell you to get the Honda even if it is an S2k.

I believe you knew the answer we would give before you even posted that question on THIS forum. Which leads me to believe you want to keep the GSX. You are just looking for approval.

Kyle

EDIT: My friend had a modded s2000, not much more than stock power levels you will blow threw transmissions and rear ends like crazy. Add another 7-10k to that total for upgraded transmission and rear end to handle the power. As people have said before, parts for s2000's are not cheap. I have seen it first hand.

haha the last part is what i have been telling my self for a long time.

I understand your frustration, but you might as well finish what you have started. Why do all that work to not finish or experience your build first hand? Think about the appreciation you will have. Maybe after you finish it and if your still not satisfied, sell it.

I can remember being in the middle of my build, and wanting to sell it at times. Now that I look back at it I would have been miserable, and what would it be like to never finish your build? You would always be wondering how it would have performed.

Try driving a Titan that sucks on gas.
I would agree with you about the Stillen, there SC for my motor was weak the stage 4 didn't even break 400WHP. But I hearing good things about there Vortech V3 for the VQ37.

in either scase go for the S2k

What company do you work for? My buddy was stationed in VA i believe and he was getting parts for a decent price for his s2000 since they were proto-types.

the only really legit kit on the market for the G37 is the BTM supercharger kit and im not about to pay 6k for a SC and now way am i paying 7k for there turbo kit. i like the g way to much how it is to put it through all that.

Looks at Op. ... Looks at Poll results so far..

haha iv been watching it.

I work for Ptuning in Manassas. Everything from my motor build, custom exhaust manifold to future dyno tuning has been done by them. :thumb:

I wouldn't trade my dsm for a honda but s2ks are sexy and handle so good. But that dsm you have is so clean. Id just finish it and enjoy it for awhile. Then maybe go pick one up.

s2k :thumb:

I cant decide, so what I did is own both,!

Doing whatever it takes to keep the two plus my motorcycle.. :sneaky:

Keep GSX and buy s2k!

Haha i was stuck on this decision as well for a while and i agree with everyone here. S2K are sexy and so are GSX, so in the end i came up with a great idea. Why not have BOTH!?! my personal goal is once i have enough money get a S2K as DD and beast up the GSX. Keep the GSX!

Keep the AWD. Once its running go dust a couple honda fan boys infront of there girlfriends and you'll feel much better about your choice.

Ha typical for this forum. "Keep the DSM."

Hard choice but you got a awd car that's hard to find in mint form. On the other hand you got a great rwd car that's bad ass in it's class and wont likely become rare anytime soon.
Parts of s2k maybe expensive but in the long run Im sure it won't equal the total of broken dsm parts.
Fug the GSX... s2k all day!

haha thanks guys for all the input. I was looking opinions, and guidance to help me get back on track really.

We had another S2k crack 526hp on are dyno tonight with Q16. Completely stock motor. " The head has never been removed from the block and the motor has over a 100k miles on it." next project car for sure. :)

But anyways just so you know i'm going to finish my motor, and start up the car. I hate not finishing a project so well see what happens after its completed.

Thanks again, Drew

Get the S2000 and call it a day... DSM's are getting outdated. Don't spend your money there. There isn't a point in having to put another $4-5K into a car that you aren't enjoying.. Not like is a Ferrari. Life is short.. Believe me..
