bought a 95 gsx auto:toobad: on the way home from buying it spun a rod (my guess is the jackass knew it was going so he sold it) i paid 3500 for it.
its goin to the shop tomorrow to get a new motor put in after that im broke.
mods on car
ebay 16g :barf:
ebay bov:banghead:
"custom exhaust"
full suspension

not on car mods
dsmlink 2.5
apexi neo afc
fpr
camber kit

car has stock fuel system and stock 7 bolt motor

i had 1000 for parts when i bought it but thats going to the new motor now
so now im on a limited cheap budget what do you think would be the best root i went i plan on giving the ebay turbo a shot until it blows up but i want 300/350hp (like everyone else) but i didnt know that the awd and auto stole so much hp from the wheels

so in everyones opinion if you were in my position what would you do (parts wise)

First things on the list are getting the camber kit installed so you can properly align the car and get dsmlink installed as well so you can start learning the software. I know that not much is done to the car but its better to start learning now on a stock car...
Fuel mods: Evo IX pump and injectors unless you plan to run E85?

As your rebuild the bottom end use 2g pistons/1g rods, you'll have a stronger bottom end that way. The auto on a GSX is actually a good thing if you plan on drag racing the car. The fastest 1/4 mile times are done with A/T GSX's with a high stall torque converter and stock tranny...

thanks for helping i dont plan on e85 but c16 ya i would of preferred a 5 speed but had to take what i can get and i know a couple people that know dsms but they said evo fuel systems wouldnt get me to 300/350hp i was thinkin 255 wally and 760s? leave some room for the future mods

but would the 550 injectors get me to 300? and whats the difference between e85 and c16 other than it being ethanol

after i get up in the 300s i plan on doin evo rods and pistons i was trying to find a used pair but i just really needed to get the car running

Parts wise I would get maintenance parts and get everything back in running order, THEN start modding.
+1 here, maintenance before modification ALWAYS and its obvious this car wasn't very well taken care of.

itll be running next week new motor swap so thats not my concern my real concern is the poopy 16g thought about buying a 14b for back up but cant find one close to me

WTF I didnt realize the only part in a car was the engine. But that's even more of a reason to do all of your maintenance. You have no idea how many miles are actually on that engine or what maintenance was done to it or when it was done. Do your maintenance first, or your car will be back in the shop for expensive repairs before long.

I'm saying timing belt, tensioner, pulleys, water pump, replace leaking gaskets, fluids, tune-up, brakes, tires, alignment... Any part that wears our or may be worn out. Anything leaking, squeaking, worn out or out of spec.

i appreciate all the help but im asking what i should do for mods as soon as i get the car back ill do all the maintenance but its a stock gsx not much to get use to i had a 328whp cobalt ss that i ran a 12.8 with i want to get this to be faster my question is what would you guys do if your were on a budget and had what i had thanks again also not meaning any disrespect im taking all the advice i can get

I'm calling bullshit on you actually doing the maintenance, but hey if you want to trash your car thats not my problem. But I would save money and buy good quality parts one at a time, and piece a good setup together.

This^
Your to ambit to want to know what to do next... Seems like you'll ingore peoples warnings Seen it happen to many times to.

This pretty much covers all that... .

Replace the 16g with this and Get Injectors to go with the DSMlink And a Tune.
You should just really see where your at before doing anything else...

well when i get the car back i plan on doing the fluids and tune up but the brakes and tires are good i know i need to get the cambers on and get it aligned after all that i will do asap its getting all new gaskets and timing belt and tensioner but as much for the others ill wait til i get more power and it tuned to do the rest ill take my chances im just not happy with the car now id like to be somewhat happy with it before i do things like that im not getting a motor from a junkyard or anything its a good motor and has a warranty so not too worried but i do have bad luck

answering my question would be nice all ive got so far is maintence... ok maintence check but im worried about motor boost horsepower im not an idiot i know an decent amount about cars but dsm seem complicated and high maintence and not so reliable just asking for what should i do to get my auto gsx in 12s for example
mhi 16g
680cc
255wally
translab shift kit and torque convert

those are the kinda answers im looking for, but i think im gonna try a 14b unless i can find a mhi 16g for 300

in the case that i do choose a 14b id like input of someone with a 14b 2g

this site has too much arguing and not happy people that go off topic too much

ya they all said basically what i posted for my example turbo fuel mods thats it but i want someone who does 12s or has a 300hp auto gsx so i can know for sure you guys are probly just reiterate yourself from wht youve read on here and ive read the majority of whats on here and they say what ive stated but also im on a small budget so going to buy a new mhi isnt possible for me and my ebay turbo is probly gonna die cause i plan on getting injectors and pump after my tune up so i was mainly asking for a "budget list" i have the tuning and technically have a turbo but i dont have faith in the turbo so that being said i need turbo and fuel

also i would like to know about the auto trans i hear they can take 300awhp but what about launching how do they handle that

im done with the bickering can someone tell me how much boost id need to get 300/350 ive seen from 19/25 "all depends on the tune" what is a good tune can i download one or copy one from dsmlink or would a real dyno tune be better

I feel your pain with the argueing man. As far as what to do. Maintenace is always where to start bc like you already know these cars are high maintenance. Tuning is a place I would start, ie DSM Link. There is power to be had on a bone stock car with tuning. Look at your plans and go from there. After tuning I personally would go fuel. Make sure you never run lean. For 300-350hp some people say 190LPH Pump. If you may want more go ahead and run the 255. FMIC to cool the air charge, gauges to keep an eye on the car. I would run a boost gauge, wideband, oil pressure at a minimum. As far as what the tranny will take, that is a good question. That would be better answered by the guys who race and have grenaded the autos.
