yeah i guess thats my only option, as it would have been easier to have a car beside mine, o well.

hopefully tom will be the last day she sits like this.

i got the kiggly adapter and trany on and transferr case on, i have the turbo the manifold the starter etc.......... all we have to do is put her back in and start trying to figure out the wiring and hose issue....

i am afraid i have lost the snapring that holds the ssq bov in the piping.... whats the chances a store would have something like that?

Wow that sounds like it would hurt. You know im a auto guy to and i have a spare 6 bolt block lying around. But not to high jack this thread but i am looking to buy some 650cc or bigger injectors. Also i noticed in your video your tranny taking forever to shift and bouncing off the limiter going in to drive. What would fix that is a manumatic box. It will make it shift hard and very fast.

I have a set of 880's I will sell you for $150.00..

The lines are correct for flow, really doesn't matter, the direction of flow through the turbo though. What does bug me is that it looks a bit restrictive.

As far as the boost leak through the Injectors, what type of seals are you using? Standard O-Rings or the snug round hoops?

injector leak fixed.. napa had re-seal kits.

a link for my quick refference while i am at the shop.

hey guys,

when i turn the key to see if i can start my car, nothing happenes, i made sure my starter was good and hooked up properly.

the car gets power and the fuel pump builds pressure, but when i turn to start i don't even get a click from the starter.
I am curious if i hooked the 1g cam sensor up wrong if this would accor?

i only have the 1 wire spliced into the new plug and thecrank sensor,,, u recon this is my problem?

the only thing is my wire isn't blue for some reason

okay so my starter isn't even cranking, so now i have to pull it off again.. and check it again and see if thats my issue at the moment.

i had something pop near the fuse box on my 4th time to jump the starter to see if it would turn over.. now i don't get a spark from the starter anymore. which relay did i fry?

I'm sorry but in that pic your car looks sick as fuuuuuuuuuuu. :thumb:

And the garage is quite nice bro, better then my little rental garage with 1 light, and and a concrete floor that's as soft pillow.

and if you still need any parts aftermarket or OEM, or bolts or anything PM Me with what you need. I'll do my best to hook you up with some serious deals. Also got 4 a few years of welding, and custom fab, and related skills under my belt, not much but its more then enough to do something with. Also, nothing I cannot do to a car with proper tools and time.

EDIT: the no start issue sounded originally just like the neutral safety switch, check all your grounds and one in particular there should be a small black and yellow wire in the starter harness that connects to the starter. check this as well.

thanx I'll keep you in mind, i took my starter back off and now the thing isn't working at all....

it's interesting though, this has me confuesed.

when i hook up the battery the brake light, the a/t light and and oil light all come on.

i turn the key and they all come on, then i take the key out and shut the door and those lights still stay on.
I don't understand that at all.
and ever since the first time i turned the key on, it purged the gas to the engine, now it doesn't....when i turn the key on, could it be because it's still under pressure?

those lights in that pattern usually indicate the alternator fuse...

He's right

I would say check all your main fuse's and relays. for other things, I doubt it's still under pressure, so it maybe something else. just go tracing through the harness, check your nuetral safety switch, check your relays, check your grounds, etc.

where is the alternator relay?

and aN safty switch. never heard of it where is it at as well. this thing has fuses and relays everywhere

sorry for all the noob questions, but i started disassembling this 3 years ago and let it sit, and now i don't remember a thing and my chiltons manual is confusing as heck sometimes.

well if yours is manual tranny its on the back of the clutch pedal, and I was told unplugging it will bypass it, but what i would do is just cut the wires and tie them into eachother and that should bypass it.

if yours is Auto on the big plug (which i believe is 12 pin) there should be 3 black w\ yellow stripe wires, 1 smaller one which goes to the starter, and 2 bigger ones. the 2 bigger ones you want to tie together.

at least that's how it is on 1G but I assume it is very similar.

mating the wires together will not bypass it...it will give the ecu a false signal and cause it to trigger the switch so that the car will not start..just unplugging it will bypass it...ive done it on all of my dsms ive ever owned that were 5 speed....

the alternator relay is the one that sits at an angle..in 2g its a 100amp relay and its held in by 2 bolts inside the fuse box in the engine bay

this may be my problem right here, please help

on the alternator, is the hot wire suppose to be on top or bottom?

there is a stud at the bottom of the alt, and i put one of the wires to that... is that wrong and are they all hot wires and need to go to the same spot on the upper end?

I dont think you have an alternator problem.. It will start without being hooked up properly.. The same as it will start and run when it doesnt even work. It will just drain the battery quick as hell.. did you hook up all the wires to the starter? Iv have forgotten 1 wire on the starter several times on my old 2g and it will do the same thing. Start checking all the fuses under the hood.

i have the big wire and the little wire hooked up i put the ground onthe tranny housing, starter upper bolt.

as soon as i hook up the battery the a/t oil andbrake light come on, i turn the key and nothing at all happens. i can turn the key off and those lights on the dash will stay on.
the starter is brand new and works, the power cable has an enourmous amount of power going to it witrh the platinum new battery as well.

i have swapped the starter relay with another under the dash, i think it's the defroster and still the same thing. nothing happens at all.

it's a wiring issue somewhere, i just can't find it.

i'm thinking alternator wiring, or ecu ground maybe...

although the Neutral safty switch may also be it,, although the description confused me. where is the plug exzactly that i need to unplug.

this?

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-electrical-wiring/325749-wiring-factory-ignitor-into-ignition-bypass-plug.html

does this need to be grounded because mine is just hanging

i just connected them and still notyhin, and i left them both disconected and nothing............

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``
i jumped the starter relay to a ground it got really hot and then i swapped it with another one, now my interior dash lights don't stay on and my beeper is now working, but the starter still isn't cranking at all, not even a click.
i jumped the new starter and it does work. i tried the whole bypassing the neutral switch thing and it didn't change anything...... it has made progress but still no crank... suggestions?
are you talking abou the link i posted for the neutral relay?
because it does not have 12 wires.... and they are black with white stripes....
i did find a 12 witre plug down near the tranny torwards the front...
it has a black and white wire, a black with yellow, and a black wire in it. is this the right spot?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``

okay getting pissed.

everywhere on here is telling me the neutral saftey switch is under the dash.... my chiltons book says its on the transmission. what the heck!

my ecu light never lights up......................

auto.

and does the meire fact when i turn my key on that all my normal lights come on except my ecu...mean my ecu is bad?

didnt know there was an ecu indication light...and in an auto the neutral safety switch is in fact in the engine bay...

if it was 5 speed it would be under the dash

last thing for me to try is either a push button ignition or a new ignition switch

would the ignition switch cause the fuel pump to not come on too?

does the CEL come on with key to run temporarily and turn off when you try to start? Is your battery fully charged? if the CEl doesnt light up at all it could be an idndicator that your ecu isnt powering up. there fore your MPI relay isnt being engergized and your fuel pump dosnt turn on.

my cel has never came on,, but in this thread i am including he had the same issues and it seems he didn't either.
I'm thinking positivily..... that maybe if the ignition switch is bad it's not getting the signal to the things it needs to. gona try it tomorrow and see what happens.
otherwise i am gona be pissed if this ecu i baught off a fellow member is 100% defective.
