Ok so i just got my data logger from 1glink.com and it seems nice and works well. I'm running 14-15psi on a 14b with no spike at all. I haven't seen knock higher than 2 yet and I am only seeing 9-12 degrees of timing after like 4000 rpms. I don't know if that is low or not. I just know that these cars are supposed to be fast and it feels quick but not as fast as my old mustang and It only ran 14's at the track. And from what i see is these cars should be able to beat that with the mods i have. Also my injectors are sitting right below 80 percent were i have read they should be. And if this question has been answered I looked for like thirty minutes and learned a lot just not what i wanted to know.

Thank you for your time.

well a data logger does not know what you have your timing set the logger thinks it is at 5btdc, and timing should be at 5btdc my timing 15psi 16g timing is around 20 but anything over 15 is good under either your timing is way off and its really slowing your car down, set check/fix your timing with a timing gun and all should be good

here is how to time a 1g dsm

go to (Engine) and then (1g timing ajustment)

91 oct thats the highest around here. and my friend has a light i will check it. I though it seemed low. IF it's not pulling the timing it should that would slow me down alot correct.

yeah thats gonna kill your power and fuel economy,

also if your getting knock at 9-12 timing its gonna knock alot more when its has stock timing back, you should at least do a fuel pump rewire there cheap and help alot if your gonna run 15psi might be your problem, seems like your not getting enough fuel also check your fuel filter could be clogged, cause its gonna pull timing if it sees more then 7 knock i tune for zero knock, if its still knocking then turn your boost down to 12psi cause 12psi with no knock and good timing is faster/better then 15psi with knock and no timing, 15psi is (safe) but all dsms react different and most of us have either 92 were i live or 93 eastern states

How about driver mod?

Good Skills are Req.d
how abt you focus on the question thats been asked and not questioning skills.

ar15tac: make sure all your base settings are right b4 starting to mess with timing. do the ruttine check on your timing belt, marks, and make sure you also dont have boost leaks. the leaks dont really affect timing but they do affect the pull on the car and its acceleration feel.

when i started messing with link i though my car had hit its limit turned out i had a leak on tb got it fixed and the difference was more than noticeable.

I am running 15 psi on my 90 with no fuel mods and am logging no knock with 91 octane. I really don't think its because of the octane being used.

Ill check that i'm getting fuel and no clogs.

I think i do have a boost leak because it spools late. That will be first to check.

I will also check the base timing to make sure as well

I thought i stated this i am getting no knock of 2 at most most of the time 0. I have no way to tune my car at the moment i'm still on stock ecu and such just got a logger to check all i well.

And thanks for other people mentioning the diver mod thing, maybe if i had crappy 60ft times. Also I don't think that has any effect on knock.

I will do that I may be a few days before i can get one i'm out of town, but ill get one up here.

ok I haven't checked my timing yet. I did notice it was running rough in the low rpms and then saw that my number one injector was unplugged. Should have noticed WAY earlier felt like an moron. Now she fly and spools better and well everything is better. But I need to hook up my logger and see if that helped everything out. The guy i bout the car from knew just enough to screw a bunch of stuff up so now I'm just trying to fix everything have done all the big stuff I hope. Have checked timing belt and balance shaft is eliminated (that's what i originally thought the vibration was then realized it would get worse at high rpm not better so looked further.)
