First off i wasn’t exactly sure where to post this so sorry if it’s the wrong place.

Ok so i have a 96 auto GS and i wanted to get a gst or gsx so i can build it from the ground up....The thing is i don’t know which way to go: Track car or Street legal weekend car... If it was a track car i’d pretty much want to go full on drag car or make it good for auto-x and drag racing

So what do you guys think is better in terms of having two cars?

A daily driver with a fast/fun weekend car?

Or a daily driver with a full-on track car?

Well leave the n/t as a dd and the other one car be a weekend thrasher. Or since there dsm's they will make the plans for you and neither will run at the same time. As my luck goes I can't seems to have both cars running at the same time for very long before one or the other breaks down. At least red is put in hibernation for the winter so blue will have a chance to run for the next 3 or 4 months.

Your getting too far ahead of yourself. Sell the turd first and then start worrying about the other car.

The GS would be my DD and there isn’t anything i havent replaced on this car already.(Axles, hubs, sensors, even a engine rebuild, etc etc etc) So i’m pretty sure its a reliable DD right now LOLol

Skip the GST, go straight to the GSX. I went FWD NT to a FWD turbo. You'll never want to go back, but a 1-wheel drive car with a 200+ hp engine is pretty useless. So keep the GSX street legal, and learn the (glorious) 4G63 with your new "toy". Then, when you realize you hate the 420 car, and never drive it anymore unless the GSX is broke, sell it. Then buy a GST for a DD. By then, you'll find it super-easy to keep the FWD chassis in running order as a DD.
