Alright I've tried searching for this but I can't find it anywhere. A little while ago my left turn signal started blinking fast, so I figured the bulb was out. I went and got a new bulb, replaced it, still blinking fast... So when I took the bulb out, I looked into the housing or whatever the bulb screws into, and noticed one of the two little metal prong things that touches the bulb to make it work is like somehow worn down, so the bulb isn't getting full signal or whatever (bear with me, I'm far from an expert with electrical stuff).

But anyways, my question is where could I find one of these to replace mine?

It's a tail light harness, get it off an Eclipse in the junk yard or from some one parting out an Eclipse, just get it for whatever side tail light you need. It's simple to replace, just pull the tail light off the car, remove a Phillips screw and swap them out.

DO NOT use a harness from a Talon, they are completely different.

actually all you need is the socket unless the wiring itself is yucky. they sell those at auto parts stores. you just need to find the right one for the correct bulb. or go snatch one off another car. either way.

arent you supposed to replace the other bulb if one bulb is blinking fast? theres a chance my man that the other bulb is burned out LOL

So wait what? You're saying that my left tail light is blinking fast because my right tail light bulb is burned out? But either way, I'm pretty sure it's the harness cause like I said, one of the two metal prong things that sticks up to make connection with the bulb is somehow worn down. And wiring is fine by the way

Lets say your drivers rear turn signal started blinking fast, this generally means that your drivers front turn signal is out. Definitely worth checking before swapping harnesses or sockets.

here is what I am talking about, you can see how one of those little metal things is completely worn down, like scratched away or something. This is why I'm pretty certain this is my problem and not my headlight.

Edit: Okay I tried uploading a picture from my phone on here through an email and pasting the link, but it didn't work. How do I post a picture in a reply? Or can't you?

Here we go, you should see what I am talking about.

check all of your lights. when one is out it'll make the other blink fast. so turn your turn signals on, check both front and back, then turn the other turn signals on, check front and back. you may have a connection issue, but make sure all of your lights are working properly

Saturdee... that looks pretty bad. you could possibly clean that up if and lift that little tab up just a smidgen with a small flat head screwdriver. go get a "battery terminal brush" and use the piece that cleans the inside of the terminals on your socket. if you can clean it up pretty good and bring that tab back up, you should be good to go :thumb:

So wait you can bring it up? And I don't get what you mean by clean it up... like that tab thing looks like it was broken off and it's down below that plastic, it's clean inside, well at least I think it is LOL. On the right little tab prong thinger, you can see around it that the plastic is worn down, it looked like someone tried to scratch at it or something, maybe to pry it back up? Not sure...

after looking at it again, i see what you mean. but you can buy the light socket by itself. just need to know which bulb it is that goes in there, and i believe it to be an 1157 bulb. i know we sell 1157 sockets at work. and they come with a length of wires attached so all you have to do is cut off your old socket, and then attach the new one back into your harness :)

I know this is an old thread but ran into an issue.
So the tail light bulb socket. (The brown one closest to the antenna) isn't working.
I switched the one from the passengerside to the driverside and it worked so I know it's the socket.
I contacted miller imports and they sent me both left and right sockets. However they are 2 pins where my sockets have 3 pins.
So instead of lighting up brighter when I press the brake like the ones I had. They actually shut off the bulb.
And since above someone mentioned talons are different then eclipse it raised yet another question about my car being an eclipse or a talon. (But not to get off topic with that issue, let's just stick with bulb sockets)
Anyone know the part number I need or which actual car I need to pull the socket from.
