He's not swapping transmissions from an auto to a manual, he's looking to put a engine from an automatic into a manual car.

shouldnt really be a difference the ecu controls the engine and seeing as everything is right you should be alright and its a go man.

Oh, I stand corrected. Thank you for pointing that out TunedDSM.

Yeah, you should be able to take off the auto flywheel/torque converter and swap your manual flywheel/clutch on and it should be all you need.

Yeah thats about it. UNTIL you get to that PAIN IN THE A$$ dowel pin in the end of the crankshaft that you have to take out in order to mount your flywheel!!!!!!!!!! Advice would be big vice grips, PB blaster, and alot of time and beer. The pin is pressed in and took me a good while to get out.

Which dowel pin is it that you speak of? I don't remember it during my block disassembly.

The dowel pin is inside the bolt facing that you mount the flywheel to. Its not a small one its like 2" or maybe bigger it sits inside the end of the crank. Maybe your crank doesnt have one but try putting your flywheel on and see.

Are you talking like the lip on the end of the crank? My flywheel came right off without any trouble, I will try to throw the flywheel on and see for sure what u are speaking of.

The best way to get that torque converter ring out is to put a socket just smaller than the inside of the ring and hit around the socket walking it out but use some wd40 or pb blaster to help.
