ok well update i put a quart of oil in and no leaks as it wasnt dripping from anywhere. but the motor might have gone casue when try and fire it all it does is click.but all my lights abd guages shutoff when we try and crank it i am not trying to start it just starting to see if she will even crank and so far no. luck but the werid thing was we made sure everything was tight. i heard i was pushing a lot of oil psi and when i let off it droped to fast and shot oil down my left side. and i had smoke coming from my exhaust but when added oil i didnt see any leaks afther i tighten up the oil filter. maybe the seals were blown as it was a mistu oil filter. it might have fried my alterternator. as it was just showered with oil:banghead:. but about everyone saying i am a dumbass for going 130. yes it wasnt the smarest thing to do but i guess we are all dumbass. casue we have all done somthing stupid and wreckless in our life. i also cant see any holes or damage. i will try and post some pics later.

Try to see if you can turn the motor over by hand like others have already said. It's hard to follow with your lazy typing, but it sounds like you either have a dead battery or your motor is locked up.:idontknow: As for a fried alternator... I doubt it, but I think you have other problems to address first.

so guessing if alt was covered in oil that is around where most of oil came from? id take a good look at your oil filter bracket. i had a crack in mine once, it was so small you couldn't really see it. but as soon as oil pressure built up, it would shoot oil out everywhere and fast. Im also wondering if your oil pump failed when u were driving, if so it could def cause the motor to seize up. just some more things to check out. until you find where that oils coming from it really gonna be hard to help.

i also agree with turning the motor by hand i wouldnt be to fast to trying to turn it over with the key. u may just hurt more than u help

well we tryed jumping it. and nothing but i am going to try a differnet battery today. now as far as turning the motor by hand i am lost on that one. yes i know i am not some dsmer expert the most i have done was swap turbos. so dont bust my chops. on it but i am starting to think it has somthing to do with my oil pump and filter. as only the left side had oil on it the right was clean. but when we went back on the same road we couldnt see any oil trails it looks like its started when i pull it over on the side of the road. not sure if that helps but i am tyring to include everything. but when i turn my key to crank it . it makes a buzzing sound. and then clicks. i am pretty sure i did here the crank move though even if it was just for a sec. i really dont know about this. god . but if worst comes to worst any one know where i could get a 4g63t 7 bolt. thanks

Try using a properly charged battery before diagnosising things. Make sure your terminals are tight and you have a fully charged battery. From the sounds of it you probably have neither.

To turn it over by hand you put a socket (usually a 17mm or 19mm) on the the crank shaft bolt and turn it. When I said don't try to start it, I meant don't even let it turn over. You could royally #### your engine if there's a problem you can't see and you crank it. So turn it by hand, see if it moves, do it for a bit so you can tell us if it slipped or stuck or stopped at a certain point. You can take out the #1 spark plug, put a traight piece of metal in it like a cut coat hanger to watch for when the piston gets to the top. Should have a little resistance, not a lot. also, by hand, line the crank shaft up with top dead center, leave it there and check the cam shaft marks to see if your timing is on.

check head gasket, oil filter housing, and make sure ## dip stick itsnt poping out bc of the presure in the case... i did that to my car and those were the things wrong with it after

I have a similar story as the op. I bought my 92 laser from a friends parents for $300. Had to send of the ecu to be fixed to get it started then started on my maintenance. The car is stock at this point.

After changing my oil and filter one day, I took my car out for a mellow drive. In was in 3rd gear going about 45 when I noticed smoke coming from the left side of the hood. I killed the engine and coasted to a park. Popped the hood and smothered the flames coming from my manifold with a sweater. Someone saw my car flaming and called for help so the cops and fire trucks all showed up and fixed my massive oil spill.

After getting the car home and inspecting the engine for damage, I noticed my oil filter was super-jiggly. I changed the filter and put in new oil and the car started and ran fine. I started to make it a ritual to out cardboard under my car at night to see if i was dripping. Sure enough it started to drip after a few days and the filter was loose. So I took it off and noticed that the actual part that the filter threads onto was backing itself out the filter housing. I put some rtv on it and torqued it back in. It came loose in a few days so I did some research and came across this thread.

I followed this guide when I was doing my belts and haven't had a problem since. This may have been what caused your loss in pressure but trying to drop gears and starting it again may have cause more serious problems. I was lucky and my car is still cruising to this day.

Did you try a different ecu? Mine was doing the same thing this morning and it was the ecu.

Ok so here's what i got from your posts:

You were going fast and you sprayed oil down the drivers side. You said the filter was loose, so i'm guessing you didn't tighten enough when you changed your oil 20 MILES AGO. The high pressure loosened it enough and you sprayed oil everywhere.

You also said you put a quart of oil in the motor to try and turn it over. You should have at least 4 quarts in there, you don't want to do more damage trying to solve the problem.

And in regards to the no start (lights come on in "on" position but click and turn off when you try and start the car), my car does that occasionally too because i have crappy battery terminal connections. Clean off the battery posts, the terminal connectors, and charge the battery. Make Sure everything is tight and crank it over. If it still doesn't start, get your alternater tested at autozone or pep boys for free.

If it cranks, whip out your handy dandy compression tester and see if you still have a motor worth being called a 4g63 left over.

Good luck, hope this helps

ok guys sorry i have been working. trying to pay the bills being 20. but update and a bad one i think i tryed turning the motor by hand and nothing i couldnt even budge my cams a inch:confused:. so i am guessing a have a damn sezied motor now right.:banghead: this really sucks as i am in the middle of paying this thing off so much for peoples word when they say its. in great condition and had it rebuild and stuff. but if worst come to worst i hope dsm magic. helps me out a bit with his 7 bolt motor he has. so i dont know if it lock up or what its not dripping oil. form it afther we retighten the oil filter. which i dont know why it was loose in the frist place. casue i made sure it was tight when i installed it. so maybe someone has a answer on this as this the nicest dsm. i have owned and i dont want to lose it. i am now even having to walk to work which sucks. but thanks for all the help so far guys keep it up.:thumb:

Sorry to hear the bad news.:( That sucks for sure, especially having to walk to work now.:notgood: The filter coming off seems to be a problem for some people, although I have never had a problem with one coming off.
