96 talon tsi awd cant get to start

have a 96 tsi awd with 6 bolt motor swap, picked up from guy few weeks back and was told fromlocal mechanic guy had it was cam sensor or wire to cam sensor and he wasnt gettin signal to injectors, well i spliced wire to sensor and car is gettin spark and fuel but still wont start, compression sounds like its good too,no codes were thrown either, guy had champion plugs in n were completly fouled out, im thinkin that playsbig role but juss sounds too easy of a fix i got ngk plugs tonite but havent putin yet, if anyone has any possible idea"s id gladly appreciate any advice, trying to learn n pick up thiss stuff,

I think I know this car. If it's the one I think it is, it was started with a working CAS but the customer didn't purchase the parts. The customer was told this is what it needs, then he sold it to get something else, a supra I think? instead of having it fixed.
 
well would i still be gettin signal to fuel injectors with bad cas? cause i was deffinently getting fuel and spark last nite wen crankin it...by the way the guy i got it from was in rockville. it was green but i primored it and put 97 eclipse bumper on as well

Oh ok. I can't remember the color of the one I was thinking of, it was a while ago. Might have been green? The one I'm thinking of was extremely clean and had a lot of nice stuff on it.

My guess is your firing order is wrong. 3-2-1-4 is the firing order. Ignore what the sticker on the coil pack says.

okay ill check the firing order and see if that does anything different

i dont remember his name but got add from craigslist....why do u know who had it b4?
