Will a 17" x(7 or 8)" wheel with 42mm offset and 225/50/17 fit a 1g awd?

I don't remember how wide the SSR Integral's are but I'm running 225/45/17 on them with that offset.

Would the 225/50/17 only effect the speedometer?

The 225/50 is going to be taller which might cause you to rub on the splash shields at full lock. I think I'm really close to that now. The speedo will read about 4% low with that tire.
