Thanks guys. This was my first pipe header build, and I'm very happy with how it turned out so far. Can't wait to do another. :D

Wastegates are for sissys! :p j/k
I still need to weld on a pipe and flange for the wastegate, and then we're going to run it through the tumbler to polish it. I'll probably tackle that over the weekend. Yeah, we backpurged it.

Where do you guys get the pipe you used to make it ? ### i have to build one of those. you guys inspire me to do some of this stuff. great work im impressed :thumb:

For this build, I bought all of the pipe locally. But, I'll be ordering from this place from now on: Ace Stainless. They have much better pricing than what I just recently spent.

Awesome work as usual. Who did that dash, looks clean and light!
Thanks man. Troxell fit the dash. It's a fiberglass Cobalt dash. Just like the one Jake Montgomery used to rock in his 1G.

I'm assuming you probably get asked this all the time and might be tired of repeating yourself, but is doing a RWD conversion something worth doing for a daily driven car? I know it costs more than I could imagine at this point but also something rarely done. Just curious, thanks. (Looks amazing btw)
:hellyeah:

Nothing new on the car itself, but I did finally get the wastegate port fit and welded, and a co-worker polished it.

That looks absolutely amazing Paul.:D There's just something about that v-band flange where the turbine hangs.:hmm: It's so rediculously badass.:thumb:

It looks great and it would be an amazing car, but to be honest, I would have tried to get Shep driveline components. AWD is the greatest thing that ever drove on the face of the earth.

Even Shep still breaks stuff. :) Brian wanted a bulletproof driveline with this car, so that's why it was built the way it was. Prior to this, the car ran a straight-cut gear tranny, Tilton carbon/carbon clutch, Shep t-case, and a carbon fiber driveshaft. He burned up a dozen clutches before switching to the Tilton. And he broke several rearends before switching to the 9". Then he started to break Shep t-cases. It was cheaper to switch to the stronger RWD set-up, rather than constantly replace that high-end AWD stuff.

Did you see the pictures on post #70 from a couple years ago when it was AWD? That was a pretty stout setup, but they wanted MORE.:p Trust me, these guys know what they're doing. It's gonna be SICK.:D

Fantastic work Paul!

AWD had it's limitations. Once you really start going fast down the 1/4 mile they really start to show.
