Whats up guys. Haven't been on here in a while. Thanks is advance for any help that I get. Also, I looked around the forums for a while and didn't seem to find an actual solution but a lot of guys seem to experience the same thing. So if I happened to miss a good thread, just post it and I delete this one.

So, after about a month of my car being dormant I finally was able to finish a head swap after a couple of valves not seating fully. I also managed to finally get a Zoom Stage 1 6-Puck Clutch Kit. Me and a buddy got my trans in and out in about 4 hours. Everything seemed to go well. All fluids topped up, cables and axles back in and everything put back together without no problems. (You should see my old clutch and pp):ohdamn:

Anyway, I go to start her up and go for a test run and what happens? Grinding like like a blacksmith forging an axe!!!OMG While the car is on I can't shift into any gears. All of them grind, even reverse. While the car is off on the other hand, everything shifts smoothly.(A lot of guys seem to get this). So I figured it was the slave cylinder. Just did that last night and bled it about a million times. Crystal clear. Master cylinder looks in good condition. No breaks or leaks at all. Bushings on both seem good as well. Pedal pressure seems like a normal 6 puck would be.

While the car is also off, if I go into first and crank it, she jumps forward. So I guess that means the clutch is good?? The shift forks are all straight and everything was put in properly. I am stumped!! *The previous clutch was REALLY bad. Slipped a lot.* Maybe I need an adjustment? How would I go about doing that? Also my pedal DOES have some play, about a half inch more upwards from where it sits. Is that enough to stop full engagement through all gears?

Any help would be great seeing as I have to keep catching a ride in my buddies Honda EF Flatback to work...:barf: I read up about the pedal assembly or a shim on the pivot ball? I don't know... Thanx in advance.

Theres a little screw shaft on the backside of your clutch pedal start turning that in increments untill you get it adjusted corrected, chances are your old clutch was autoadjusted so far back that now when you push the clutch in it dosn't even go far enough to move the clutch.

*the screwshaft is the actual rod that goes through the firewall, this turns for adjustment..its REALLY uncomfortable to do.*

Thanks alot Liquidz. I think you might have hit it seeing as my last clutch slipped right from the dig if I got on it...what are the chances of this being the problem? The clutch is a brand new Zoom Kit...

I can honestly say its just shooting in the dark, also i allways start with easiest check on the list, wich would be the pedal.:hellyeah:
when i got my clutch done i had the same problem only when the car was warmed up though, yours is obviously way out of adjustment.:ohdamn:
