my stock turbo on my 91 gsx is cracked, i have a stock t25 of a 2g i was going to use it is this a good idea or should i just find a better turbo

Stock 14b is stronger and more powerful than the T25 and they are dime a dozen..find another one and get rid of the T25!

If you want to get by cheap and not be downgrading, find another 14b. If you want to upgrade a little find a small 16g, big 16g, or evo III 16g, they are all a direct bolt on for the 1Gs.

is the big 16g the same as a evo3 16g, or is there a evo3 big 16g, or is it all the same thing? and what about the t28 that i was told my t25 was. is that turbo any good?

The T-25 serves best as a paper-weight. If you have the bucks, grab a 16G.

theres an evo III big 16g, a big 16g, and a small 16g, go with the evo III big 16g because its the best bang for your buck... do NOT replace your 14b with a t25 unless you want to be disappointed with your cars power...either get another 14b or e316g... dont worry about the t-28 imo, because the evo III big 16g outperforms it

There is only one evo III 16G (TD05H-16G6), it differs from the standard Big 16G (TD05H-16G) in a few different ways, first by the size of the inducer on the compressor. The Big 16G has a 1.892" inducer whereas the evo III has a 1.902" inducer. The exducer on their compressors is the same (2.680"). The Big 16G's max practical airflow is 445 CFM (~33 lb/min) and the evo III's is 530 CFM (~40 lb/min). The evo III uses a compressor that is made from aluminum with thinner blades than a standard 16G and it uses an Inconel turbine. Both compressors are approximately a 50 trim (Big 16G being slightly lower, evo III slightly higher). They use different compressor housings (obviously), but they have the same center section and turbine housing, and their turbines share the same dimensions (1.93" exducer and 2.20" inducer). Thats probably more than you wanted to know, but thats it.

As far as a T28 is concerned, I wouldn't bother unless you found a good one for dirt cheap, which in all reality probably isn't going to happen. You'd be better off just sticking to a 14b or upgrading to some level of 16G.

thanks i am looking 4 a evo3 16g can any one sell me one 4 under 300??????
