I ended up giving it to the Salvation Army, don't know what they got for it but I'll find out when they send me the tax documents. I got a chuckle out of my Arlington County personal property bill which showed an assessed value of $4,000. Not even close.
 
Thats a damn good deal. Start with maintenance. Get all of that done before you start modding and your car will serve you well.

thats the plan.. a full tune up.. the sad thing is i have a 2003 eclipse and the gsx runs better than it.. and ofcourse quicker LOL but i put tons of money into my 3G and the same amount i put into the GSX then it will be niice. but thats also over years of work and building.

On the GSX is there a serious common part or problem i should try to fix or catch as part of the tune up? thank you
 
what would you all pay for this? it has a small 16g, dejon tool SMIC, crushed BOV, beehive titanium valve springs, ferrah valves, 3g lifters, 3-layer head gasket, ARP hardware, 550cc injectors, full flowmaster exhaust with a stock lower-end. all stock suspension only ran on supreme fuel head and lowerend prety fresh rebuilt at english both have 40,000 miles. clean title stock interior besides boost guage. what would you pay for this?

why 1000 because english worked on it? and its not my car i am looking into it. he has 8k in receipts for it and a dyno sheet for 366whp? why would you only pay 1000?
 
'98 GSX.
140,xxx had the whole motor went through when i bought it, since i bought it with the intentions of doing a build had a compression test done and everything, motor is very solid, along with the turbo, has zero shaft play.

I've got a 70k mile, 2 owner 92 TSi AWD. New paint, new windshield and all mods were done in the last 6 months (bone stock when I bought it from the original owner). What should I expect to get for it?

Here in oregon, people post them with those mods aroud 3500-4000. But get 3000 usually. it looks clean i would take it off your hands if it were in oregon.

92 Eagle Talon AWD 5spd 168K on clock

Body excellent: No rust, no dents, nice paint, no fading anywhere, very clean under the hood.

Engine: Regasketed stock 6 bolt with 272 HKS cams, new H2o pump, tension... etc. Perfect compression no oil leaks.

Trans: Rebuilt stage 1 Shep, ACT 2600, new OEM slave and master

Fuel: 880s, 255 pump

Turbo: Evo 16G, FP ex mani, full 3"

Punishment street FMIC kit

ECM link V3 full speed density setup tuned for 21psi

Interior: Completely stock in great condition, simple aftermarket head unit with USB input, boost gauge, AEM wideband.

Suspension: Stock wheels, tires have full tread, megan racing coilvers, new wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends.

Brakes: Stock with new rotors and pads at the corners

The car needs nothing it is just a really nice clean car that is ready to go.

Sell your car for the amount you want to get out of it. If it doesn't sell, its either too much, or you'll have to wait (a while) for the right buyer.

I know this. I was just giving him a rough estimate what it could go for. And does go for around here.
 
Stock 1g's, 1k to 3k
Stock 2g's, 4k to 6k
ugly stock 3g's / 4g's 8k to 25k ( 4g's over 14k)
Stock 3g's.....not worth talking about..:tease:
 
Following up on my previous post, I got a letter from the Salvation Army with a tax form showing they got $1600 for my car at auction, which I thought was pretty good. The car was in crap shape and needed a lot of time and money so I'm surprised it got that much. The dealer where I got my new car offered $500, although I know they always suck so it doesn't mean much. I'd be curious to know what shape it's in, I kinda miss it.
 
Hey I have a 1998 Eclipse GST Red Cayenne Pearl, it had chrome stockers on it, but that wasn't performance enough for me, so I put it on 4 donuts, 3 of which are flat (lightweight). I took the interior out down to the carpet and just kind of lost is somehow. The front bumper is gone, I snagged the throttle body off it for one reason or the other. The entire shifter assembly is gone, I accidentally body slammed my dog into the center console so it's broken, pulled the radio out and spread salt all over the unibody.

I am looking for $9,000.00 because it has a 14b instead of a T25 which I let see unregulated boost until it sounded like a supercharger. I keep getting messages telling me I am being retarded. Can you tell me what my car is actually worth so I can show those losers.
 
Is this car worth looking at for $4000? The guy needs to pay bills and can't afford so many cars. The mod list he gave me is a little weak but from what you can see and what I have to tell, just give me some input. It's not beautiful, but I cam paint it and what not. 89,000 miles car runs fine just struggles with starting in the cold a little, he says it needs a new battery. Mods I was told were: t3/t4 vband turbo only on 7pounds of boost has short throw shifter 1st gen talon bov tial external wastgate 38 mm Its intercooled with an evo intercooler 3inchturboback exhaust with an apexi 4inch muffler 272 cams exhaust manifold (headers) carbon fiber hood and eclipse bumper. It seems like it has more stuff under the hood if it really is as fast as he says, is there anything that should/has to be upgraded with some of the stuff he has in it? The turbo was apparently so massive that the powersteering had to be taken out.... Will it suck to drive now because of that? How hard is it to put it back in? Any helpful input would be great. Here are some pictures, they aren't great but it's what I have.

5 Speed, 113k miles. 18 inch Wheels. Blue paint. Body Kit. Lowered. Camber kits. Stage 2 clutch, stage 2 pressure plate, and Aluminum 8 lb flywheel, from clutchnet.com. New timing belt installed at 85k miles. NGK spark plugs, MSD plug wires. Toucan 2.5” cat-back aftermarket exhaust, with a new o2 sensor. AEM cold air intake. Tan leather interior in excellent condition. 4 guage monster cable amp wiring kit is installed and ready for your amp. I-Pod hookup installed. 6 disk CD changer. 8K RPM guage w/shift light…Metal shift knob…

25-30 mpg depending on how you drive. I get a solid 26 mpg driving to work and back.

The car runs excellent. LOTS of money invested. I have paper work and RECEIPTS.
I bought this car with a salvaged title, when I bought it I had it looked over for frame damage. It had no damage so I took it over to Les Schwabs to have it aligned and it aligned perfect, with no problems, so I bought the car.
The front bumper has small cracks and rock chips, as it is fiberglass.
This car is ready to go, turn the key and have some fun.

No trades, no payments..
Sad to see my beauty go, but it’s time to move on, and let someone else enjoy it.
