Out of fuel?

Yes. The ECU commands more fuel as expected (IDC's go up, AFRatioEst changes, etc), but the result doesn't change (WB still reads lean).

I'm severely octane limited on the 91, so I can't really get rid of the knock past a certain airflow due to the lean condition. With E85, I don't necessarily see much knock...but the AFR's climb to around 13:1 which is starting to push my comfort level. :)

If the IPW goes up and the WB doesn't change or continues to lean out, it sure sounds like your out of fuel. Either pump isn't delivering or the injectors aren't.

I've been assuming the log is from pump gas, what sort of IDC's do you see with E85?

They aren't all that different than the ones in the 91 pump log, since I'm targeting a higher AFR with the E85. IIRC, they were around 80-85% at an airflow of about 50 lbs/min, with AFR's approaching 13:1.

I'm pretty sure the pump is falling off...I just don't understand why. Every source I've seen says the 255hp should be good for at least 5 lbs/min more than I can hit, and I've tried two different 255hp pumps with identical results.

I dunno...I'll pump some fuel into a bucket with the AFPR pressure set to around 70psi and see what I get.

Welcome to my world! I started having this problem with my setup too. At 45+lbs/min I was going lean. No matter what i did it would go lean. I also have a Golan -6 filter and i decided to remove the 10 micron element and i have no issues now. I can hold a 10.5 afr to 8000rpm with no problem after removal of the filter element. I emailed Golan and they just keep telling me that its not there filter. Well guess what it is that filter.

Thanks for the input, but in my case it isn't the filter. My element is good, and a local friend of mine is running the exact same filter and is flowing way more than 55 lbs/min. If you have to remove the element from a Golan, I think the element is clogged. (Personally, I would never bypass the fuel filter with the crappy gas we get around here. LOL

Just for the hell of it, I decided to pull my injectors... and much to my surprise I am now the latest victim of the E85 goo issue. I checked them about 2 months ago and they were clean as new, but this time they were pretty heavily gunked up. I'm guessing that this and the ignition issues I was having are probably the culprits. I should know for sure in a day or two.

What's weird is that the #2 injector was barely dirty...in fact I couldn't really see any goo at all. But the spark plug looked the same as the other cylinders, and there were no signs of misfire on just that one cylinder. Anyone else seen this or have an explanation for it? I'm at a loss as to how three injectors could develop the goo issue and one doesn't, when they are all apparently working and flowing fuel.

Anyway, they are all clean now...so we'll see what happens.

So hows the car? After some more research i found a lot of people having issues with this filter collapsing from being a restriction. Look on ECMLINK fourms.

I am doing the same right now my S258 had a accident. So i just got my hands on a ITS T-61. I am very excited as this is a massive turbo 61mm inducer with a 90mm exducer on the compressor wheel. And i am switching to T3 for a little better flow. 700hp here i come!
