Hey everyone looking into getting another car. Which one is better overall?

Z28 is gonna be fast than the gt. Overall I don't know my brother has a 94 z28 over 200k miles stock motor its reliable he rarely has problems with it and now a days you could find them cheap. Its gonna be cheaper than a gt I can tell you that but kills more gas

I would go for the mustang. Yes the camaro is better bang for the buck, but the GT is easier on the eyes IMHO. Besides theres a huge aftermaket for the GT,and to me, the GT sounds way meaner. jus
t my ipinion.

anything> an LT Camaro...

the LT series was absolute junk, way underpowered and the reliability of a Yugo. Go for the mustang.

While I wouldn't get an LT1 Camaro I've had LT1 Corvettes and they are very reliable. A pain in the ass, but reliable.

And the Mustang is going to have a lot less power than the Z28. My neighbor once had an 03 GT and was no faster than my stock GSX, it was an auto though.

I say get neither.

I don't know... The car in SPEED RACER™ looks pretty much better overall. Just my 0.2 cents LOL

LT1's are far more reliable and have more potential than the 4.6l

That said, I don't like LT1's.
The motors themselves are VERY reliable and typically last a long time, however they have some stupid flaws. The main one is the ABSOLUTELY RETARDED optispark setup. It's just plain stupid.

Then theres others like their tendancy to gum up without proper maintenance.. very few LT's today are as fast as they were when new. LT1's brand new could actually run high 13's off the showroom floor. It's been proven though without good maintenance they gum up a lot worse than other motors and lose horsepower.

That said though, they're better than the 4.6L

If you can afford to go LS though, do it and dont look back.

The only 4.6 worth having is the 4v cobra 4.6 which even then imo pales to the LS1. Bolt on LS1's keep up and out run the terminator cobras.

Full bolt on 2v 4.6L GT won't go anywhere near as fast as a full bolt on LS1. The only way to get the 2v's moving is with forced induction.

With all the said, Mustangs look and sound amazing, their power capability is so-so.. The new 5.0s though are great. Their reliability is also pretty much decent enough.

You can't go wrong with a SBC though, reliable, gas efficient for a v8.. my LS1 got 30+ highway with the 6speed. With just an intake and exhaust my LS1 moved about as good as my talon did when it was running high 12's.

Mustang, hands way up.... Only reason is the LT series motors suck. 4.6 mustang can go alot further. IMO.

WHAT??? I hope thats a joke. The earlier 4.6's full bolt on make around 260whp. Not to mention how expensive parts are. 4.6's are a joke unless supercharged. I owned and sold a 98gt. Slowest "sports" car i ever drove. They do not take to bolt on's well at all.
