Are you so insecure with yourself that you care what others think? I was in Applebee's last night listening to some clowns bash on DSMs and then proceed to say things that prove they know nothing about cars. I ordered another beer and continued to ignore them. Who cares what people think. For the record, if it bothers you that your car got called a girl car, think about that next time you say it about someone else's car.

I don't think so, cause a man forged the DSM with his bare hands. I do think that the Mazda Miata is a girls car, also the Mazda 3 cause all I see is girls driving them. When ever I see a dude in one I think maybe she got a sex change or something.

I would say "go to the drag strip and run him" (wink wink) but you drive a N/T so that would be pointless.. Just dont call anyone that owns a mitsubishi anything a girls car. Its not a DSM, I get it. But its still an eclipse

Lol who cares? A miata is a girls car, but people slam then and go "hellaflush" a mazda 3 is a girls car but there's a speed3, an Eos is a girls car, a mini is a girls car, a b200 is a girls car. I can go on and on but most people will not say an eclipse is a girls car. But if they do it doesn't really matter cause we got POWERRRRRRRR!!!!

It's funny that you mention this. In 2007 I was driving my 96 Eclipse GSX around town and a black monte carlo pulled up next to me at a stop light. The driver was 40- something years old, and was wearing a cowboy hat. (ha). He looked over at me and said, "Hey boy, you know that car your driving there is a Girl's car."

I looked over at him and said, "Well it was between this and a monte carlo."

The guy drives a Monte Carlo....why would you ever care what he has to say in the first place. NUFF SAID.

No, this forum is 99% guys because most girls aren't mechanically inclined, or car about their car at all. And the ones that do, are rarely also computer nerds on the forums all day.
I don't care what car forum it is, the majority of users will almost 100% of the time be male, so your point is, in fact, not a point at all.
If anything, the 1g is the most "male" of all 4.
The fact of the matter is, women own every one of these cars. Odds are women own more 3g and 4g because they care about how it looks, and regardless of whether or not anyone on here "likes" the look of the 3g and 4g, they do look newer. And we all know women like new and shiny.

If a DSM is a girls car I'm Michael Jackson.. Seriously come on now..

A Jetta or a Scion is a girls car.. Even a Honda..

The eclipse was geared towards females more than males. But I highly doubt you can call a 400awhp car that sounds like it has a v8 under the hood and when you start the car the turbos spool sounds like a jet engine starting. (People at my work are SOO confused about my car ..)

I would agree that the Eclipse is NOT a girls car. I'd like to see some lame ass driving a V8 whatever go up to Brent Rau or John Sheppard and tell them that they drive a "girls car" LMFAO! With that being said I also agree that a car is only a girls car if the owner is a girl. Different strokes for different folks we all have our likes and dislikes so I say as long as your happy with it then go with it. To the OP I do kinda agree with a few replies on here don't dish it out if ya can't take it man. Just take your "girl car" to the track and whip their asses and then ask them if it's a "girls car" I doubt theyd say it again unless they are like my friends and do it just to be assholes . The fact that the two females above said anything ALONE makes this thread pointless. Not to mention the statement that KT quoted.

Fact is : Any car can be a 'girls' car. They can also be a 'mans' car for that matter. If someone has something to say about your car and it bothers you, maybe you shouldn't be driving a DSM.

Added : There are TONS of women who drive these cars. Two have posted here, Wendy was a DSMer, and there are MANY others who simply may not want to waste their time posting because everytime a girl posts almost every damned guy on this forum tries to impress them. MEN drive women away from our hobbies. Sure, I'm a guy, but I know where the line is. Wanna know why most women aren't mechanics? Because they're sick of sexist remarks and constant come-ons.
