My engine bay looked very similar when my oil dipstick blew out haha. It looks pretty cool though!

Not sure if I personally like it, but great job bro. Def. unique!

It's definitely unique, but it looks like oil mixed with water.

I find it kinda humorous because most DSM owners could care less about underhood esthetics, and so far (you have all suprised me with your nice compliments.)

I think its mainly the opposite. Most DSMers could care less about anything not under the hood looking nice. I know my engine bay is my first priority, followed by my suspension and break setup, followed by tires.

heres a curve ball....

I'm really glad i decided to smooth this out and paint it to match the car, i love how it looks

WOW, that looks really really good man. Nice job on that!

i listed it back in 08 for my boss and he decided to let it go for a meisly $6500 when he baught it for 8g and had the reciepts for the rest of the aprts he baught for 6g's, so i decided it was to good a deal to pass up,,, it's truely becoming my build nowdays.

yeah, it reminds me of a layer'd black on black suite, and it is, different,, verry suttle, thats what makes me like it

I'd be interested to see one of our cowls completely shaved smooth (no cabin air intake grill) and painted to match. This has become slightly popular with the Honda guys who have removed there heat boxes when doing a wire tuck.

Remove the heat boxes? Those ####ing honda guys i swear.

I mean i know you cant get laid driving a honda, so i understand the lack of concern for creature comforts. But damn, if i pulled the heat out my wife would leave me!

Anyhow...the marble stuff. Eh. faux finishes are just not cool anymore.

But the cowl looks titties...you should just paint everything under the good gloss and satin black. let the subtle differences in gloss/matte make it pop. with some chrome and polish thrown in of course.

Some DSM guys do it too.

If you only drive the car in the summer and in nice weather then you really don't need heat.

i candy gold my intercooler pipes yesterday , so they are def gona pop. and tone down the marblizer

i realize that you can't see my vision on this whole thing, but i have no doubt in how well this is going to look and yeah I am using gloss black gold pearl gold candy and flat black to accent it all, when it's finished it'll be most definatly different, and clean. i am choosing not to wire tuck this car, as i've done that to my early accord with the H22a build i did, and it just wasn't worth the effort i put into it.

ok ny hks bov and the hks recirculation piece i baught.......... idiots! the piece was a quarter inch to long... on brand new parts. i had to take it to the shop and grind the recirculation piece down to fit flush, I dun't know if anyone else had this problem, but it was annoying to say the least.

the intercooler pipes will only be seen in gold when the hood is open, i have the other pip with the bov flange at the shop because we have to weld the hks flange to it instead of the 1g bolt design. I'll get some photos of the pipes outside, it's blinging gold out their. it matches my headlights really well.

That bov looks wild, Im definitely a fan... I spent the last hour reading that paint article you wrote and checking out other things you've done. Very nice, that Airbrushed glove box was insane. Keep up the good work. I would go so far as to say, you should open your own place, like out to california so you can do my car!

Thanks man, I enjoyed!
