I bought my 98 GSX catless with a 3in Downpipe... My question is.. can i put a aftermarket cat on?? Without removing the downpipe?

what kind of catless downpipe?

Is the downpipe extended so that the cat pipe/test pipe is not needed? It would meet up with the cat-back exhaust.

If you have a regular downpipe and its catless because you have a testpipe, then just remove the testpipe and get a cat put in with 3 inch flanges on each side. Make sure you measure the distant.

I have a a 3 in downpipe and the guy straight piped the rest... I heard its not good to put a cat on a 3in downpipe... is this true?

It's not good for fitment, performance or what? Almost any exhaust shop should be able to fix you up for a relatively low price for welded or bolted.

Good for performance and fittment? Idk...
