My MAF was going so I just wen and ordered a GM 3" MAF and the MAFT from OnGreenPreformance.com So I got it all installed correctly and the car did start. Note I have not tuned or dialed it in yet. Now for the problems.... When I start the car it sounds like a Scoobaru with an exhaust on it. Also upon start the red led does not come on? only the green one any ideas?

Oh it sounds pretty bad now. Everything is set to zero. All wiring is done correct. I don't know what else to check?

well thats it set to zero, check other stuff, thats the way to get started mine ran fine for years like that. sounds good mine at least.

the injectors was set to the 560s of the evo 8 for my injectors its different now, just got the wideband, and getting link reall soon.

I have a narrowband AFR gauge for now.... but it doesn't show a change. Sounds really lopey. Red led still does not come on. I don't know if it makes a difference but I think, I'm not sure but I think it's got stock injectors and I just put a Walboro 255 in it

the narrow band is useless wally 255 do you have a afpr? make sure you know your injectors you cant guess, you could run lean, you need to set the maft for the injector size.

I think they are stock. I know they're pink! if that helps? :(

I use the narrow for a quick reference and if was givin to me.

The stock injectors will have 450 stamped on the side of them, On a 1g they are blue top's, I think it's the same for a 2g, A 255lph is a bit much for the stock regulator, An adjustable fuel pressure regulator is needed as stated by iugrad. Without a logger you are pissing in the wind. You will have absolutely no idea what is happening with the fuel trims, And a narrowband air ratio gauge is not a tuning tool, Although it may give you some insight as to a rich/lean condition, It moves too much to give you detailed information. You need to get a logger stat. Try to put the stock maf back on and see if the prblem persists. You may have an underlying problem. Let us know.
p.s. The stock 1g n/t injectors are 230's or 240's, And they are pink as well. The number should be stamped on the side, Get the numbers and post them up on here. You also said the afr gauge does'nt move right? , Where does it sit at?

is the stamp on the metal color or up by the plug? anyone have a pic? And the car isn't going anywhere yet. I get a paycheck tomorrow going towards this Import Evolution

Well it's pitch black outside so I gotta wait til the morning for pics. But it's a used GM 3" MAF

Pink injectors could be either 240cc from a 1g non turbo or 560cc from and evo 8/9.

From what you say your car sounds like, it seems that the MAF that you are using is bad, but it could also be that the settings are wrong for the injectors you are using, you need to find out exactly what you have before anyone can help you.

I'm not sure if it matters or not but it has a JDM Cyclone swap. That's what has screwed me up since I got the car. The guy left hacked pieces and everything rigged and he told me all he did was the exhaust and the clutch and I'm finding all different things

First thing tomorrow morning pics will come. I get up around 7 and have to leave for work at 9 so i'll try.

DSM injectors:

210cc light tan top/ n/t auto trans???
240cc orange/pink top/n/t 4g63 manual trans.
390cc tan top/ Auto trans, Turbo
450cc blue top (95+ are black top)/Manual trans ,Turbo application

EVO/Galant vr-4 4G63 injectors:
510cc yellow top/Jdm cyclone,gvr-4
560cc red top/evo 8/9

OK, good news, bad news, and i'm an idiot. Weird idle sound was caused by me i think :) I forgot to plug injector #1 back in before starting it. Bad news I can't get a good enough picture because I'm horrible with a camera. Now for I guess the good news. One side of the injector reads MDL 560P on the + side. On the - side it says IMP-401.
