yeah good job, I'm sure you're happy you got that bodyshop job and hit it off so well with them. I'm also not a fan of bodykits but you did make this one look good and with the color and all. I'd drive it for sure! :thumb:

Well if anyone is interested i plan to have pics of it as it went through all the hell of becoming what it is today along with some with it having the fin back on and with a better camera uploaded asap, im an engineering major so time is hard to come by.

Hey I just left you a pm (OP).However, You live not but maybe 10 miles from me in Louisiana I am about 5 miles out of Minden. I am starting a major build maybe we can meet sometime and get acquainted?:thumb:

I like the shaved door handles, i think they are pretty cool but i can't imagine the hassle of putting them on unless you were going to repaint the car. The rims look good with the color choice, all around nice car. Good luck with the performance build!:D

If you want some help getting your motor stuff I am going to be getting rid of a ton of stuff and I believe my friend in Shreveport still has everything needed to convert a 2g to awd. He had it all a few months ago but I havent talked to him in a little while. By the way I do love the color I was looking at getting mine repainted and since your right down the street maybe we can help each other out :hmm::thumb:

I am game for getting your old parts and possibly helping with body work ( provided i can find the time), however i know the guy who has all the awg conversion stuff and i have a 420a, which wont convert like the 4g64 which is what he had if im not mistaken.

Honestly they werent too terrible, you only need a little paint, you could honestly get away with a really good rattle can job and a hell of a buff and noone would ever know.. the biggest part was getting the doors to pop properly, i had to fab brackets to hold the solenoids which are welded in, and the space in out doors blows for this so my door panels had to be modified also all in all its not worth the money to me though, i prefer go fast mods... But if you have the tools and time its about a 6/10 on difficulty.

Hey me too. I'm studying Mechanical Engineering. I'd love to look over the pictures of the build

Im in nanosystems engineering and it sucks, i have no time at all, but i will try and get everything organized and up by this weekend. Im planning on buffing it this weekend, and taking updated pictures. I wanted to wait till i got tint on my windows, but ill go ahead and take some. Im glad you posted this now ill have something to do this weekend LOL.

i think you should have got a 2gb bumper with lip either way it looks nice

I plan to get a new front bumper, but thats at the bottom of the list.

I feel ya on the two tone body pices. <<<< see avatar. LOL. Even though im not a fan of body kits, I give you major props. Work looks amazing. Ive tried body work and know how hard it is. So to see some one do a good job on something even if I dont agree with the look for me, I can appreciate the time and work put in. Once again, looks great. And again, love the colour. Congrats and good luck for future mods. Dave.

that drop with the roads in LA....that bumper should last 2.5 seconds.

i don't like the blitz kit unless the car is green. honestly. hehehe

i would say do a splitter to bring the front end together more. paint is clean, that's a GOOD thing. check junkyards for bumpers if u wanna rid yourself of the front end, they are around. Leesville had 2 u-pull-its in the area. i remember a silver 2gb talon front there. LOL.

Lol, i, a pro when it comes to handling the la roads without scraping, i learned how to drive in a minitruck and i drive my car 180 to 220 miles a day.. and the u pull it in bossier gets 2 eclipse/talons in about every 2 weeks. Where you from?

wow. reading these replies, i would think i am on a honda forum.

paint is great, and beautiful. but your body kit is awful, and brings the whole car down. if you wanted a honda, should of bought a honda.

Wow you are busy. When you get the time.. or should I say make the time LOL, post some up.

Yeah I also need a new front bumper cover or at least stripped and repainted. It's got major paint failure like my hood. But the paint looks so cracked it's hard to tell if my bumper cover itself is damaged or not.

I took some pics today and I'll try and gave everything up tomorrow. I have to get me new fuel pump in first though :)

There's no such thing as a perfect car hitler.

While most of us don't like body kits I must point some things out.
1. Its his car and he likes it.
2. Its not your car you don't have to like it.

Even though you replied with a much more toned down reply than you usually do I have to still ask you. WHY do I see you in EVERY thread that has any kind of body kits thrashing the owner? You never have any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Just talking trash to the person that your targeting that day. Its old man. We all know your feelings about body kits. Leave it alone.:hellyeah:

Thank you for backing me on this, and I'll try and get pics up this afternoon

def a sweet color i just think a 2gb front bumper would flow alot better but still a very nice dsm

Tastefully done my friend..looks nice...doesnt look ricey but becareful LOL it can happen.

Ok so the full story is, i bought my car for 1900 dollars about a year ago. Drove it like it was when i bought it for around 6 months. I started fiberglassing a speakerbox in the back of the car and one day while i was working on it i was covered in fiberglass and god knows its hell. I had to back my car up in the driveway to make room for my dad to get in so i left my door open and i diddnt really want to sit down in my car being full of fiberglass so i just kinda sat on the rocker and worked the clutch with my right foot easing off. Well i slipped off the rocker and the car drove backwards with the door open. The door then snagged on a tree that was about 1 1/2 inch in diameter! The door bent back all the way to the fender, ruining the door, the fender, and the a pillar. I just planed to drive the car the way it was from that point on cause i knew even if i got a job i couldnt afford that kind of repair or another car. But my girlfriends dad knew the owner of a very good bodyshop and got me a job there. Me and the boss hit it off right off the bat, and he let me use everything in the entire shop anytime i wanted. So i fixed it over a period of about 6 months and made it into what it is now. I also made enough money on the side to build and turbo the motor, however money isnt the only thing necessary to that process ive learned. I dont have time currently to even work on my car cause of school and work and whatnot, but anyway heres the process of bringing my baby back from the dead.

Sorry for size and resolution, this is the car the day i got it.

Ignore the dumbass in the picture (me). No i do not actually look like that, however i am that skinny. Anyway i know this is a terrible pic, but i diddnt exactly document the entire process. This is the front of my car at its worst point, yes i actually drove it like this.

This is when i did the major repair, i had to go to the local junkyard with a generator and sawzall and cut an A pillar out of another eclipse, it sucked. Then we welded it in, and had to cover all the bare metal and welds and whatnot which i did with seam sealer. I basically had to rebuild the entire inner structure of the a pillar. It was no easy task.

It wont let my upload more of the finished product cause the file sizes are too big, which really sucks cause i had some really good ones.
