Hi everyone. I have searched and read many different things about different companies that do ceramic coatings. I have recently picked up the mach v header for a very good price.. couldnt pass it up.. anyway its a tubular manifold.. Im wanting to get it ceramic coated to help with underhood temps, not for looks.. so if anyone has any feedback on who did there coating, how long it lasted before flaking or chipping off, if the underhood temps dropped a noticeable amount, if its even worth the money to get it coated versus heat wrap, your input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I have a Pacesetter Ceramic coated manifold, and im not so sure that it helps a whole lot with the temps, i noticed somewhat of a change but it still gets pretty hot. I like the no rust factor so far tho :D

Who did you have it coated by

I like the Jet-Hot ceramic coatings myself & NASA & the Military use it & my Camaro has a set Hooker Headers on it that are Jet-Hot coated.I've had these on my car for like a decade & they still look new now thats impressive if you ask me.

I took mine to PCI locally and they coated all of my turbo components. Looks great and temps are a lot cooler. Here is a chart:

Yeah, it's been a great header so far, only thing i didn't care for was the paper manifold gasket they send with them. I guess there is quite a significant underhood temp drop now that i think about it...

I had the headers on my big block Chevelle, Jet Hot coated about 5 years ago. The coating dropped under hood temps significantly. Looks as good today as the day I installed them. Jet Hot has a variety of colors available. It is a bit pricey, but IMO, worth every penny.

Those numbers are pretty impressive and that is exactly what i was looking for thank you.. If you dont mind me asking how much did they charge you to coat the manifold?

It was $100 for the manifold, but that is for a double coat and also coating the inside of the manifold. O2 housing was $30, turbine housing was $50 and compressor cover was $50.
