Please tell me what this is. I was buttoning everything up on a cylinder head install and this was under the car.

Sorry, I had to re-size the pictures. This fell under the car, I think when I was installing everything around the intake manifold.

Looks like a grommet of some type. Never seen that on a DSM. I think you're okay without it.

I guess I just thought those were guesses because the poster suggested speedometer which clearly doesn't have any kind of grommets.

I'll give the rest of the sensors a good look tomorrow unless somebody can more certainly identify based on the picture.

I don't think that's from a stock sensor. Do you have any aftermarket stuff on your car like a wideband? I've never seen an orange seal like that.

You dont have a translator and GM maf do you? I think that the gm maf connector may use a seal like that.

Stock sensors do use seals like that. I can't remember which electrical harness it was, but I know I've seen it on my car. I'm pretty damn sure the front o2 sensor plug right above the transmission has a similar looking seal. Just unplug all the harnesses and check. It'll take like 5 or 10 min to do.

^Not on a 1g, that connector is round and doesn't use that type of seal.

similar thing happened to me. It was from one of the connectors near the coils, I forget which one. It should only take a few minutes to unplug them and look to see if it is missing the seal inside the connector.

It is a stock spacer for a connector. Just do what someone else already stated. Pop off every sensor/connector one at a time till you find it.

looking at I would guess that it is a tps sensor, but that could be because the last bunch I have seen were orange.
