Need to get oil and water pump. So I called up Mitsubishi and they say the oil pump has been discontinued, which I do believe cause our cars are pretty old. For the water pump they do have it but it's around $160. I checked STM and they have the water pump for around the same price, but their oil pump is $370 . Any where else I should be looking? Thanks

Any NAPA, Autozone, PepBoys, etc. should have what you need or be able to order it. If you want OEM I believe ExtremePSI has them. You can also check www.rockauto.com.

Maperformance has the cheapest factory water pump that I've seen at $153.99 and an ITM aftermarket one for $38.99; both come with the gasket and o-ring. As far as the oil pump goes, do you need the gears as well or just the front case? If you need a complete front case with gears then check out maperformance. If you need individual parts from the assembly extremepsi has some great prices. There are also aftermarket oil pumps out there for less than half the price of a factory one but I would personally never use an aftermarket oil pump. Hope this helps.

JNZ tuning has the 1g OEM Mitsubishi water pump for $139.99 and it includes the gasket and o-ring.

I have heard a lot of bad things about the Topline water pumps giving out after only a short time. Think about how hard it is to change it before you order anything less then OEM. I personally will only use OEM Mitsubishi water pumps.

Hope this helps!

I will need the whole front case assembly and oil pump(gears and all). I had bad experiences with non OEM oil pumps and never doing that again. If I could do everything in my car OEM I would, but sometimes it really hurts on how much these parts cost.

I wanna say I got my oil pump from extreme psi. OEM of course

A new front case is pricey.

JNZ $303 with gears.
EPSI $332 with gears.
MAP $335 with gears.
STM $371 with gears.

I would check the classifieds. I'm sure you will be able to find a good deal on a nice used one.

Hope this helps!

Don't buy a used oil pump unless you know 100% who you are buying it from and it's condition. Yes, an OEM front case/oil pump is pricey, but it's one of those necessary evils. Also, I just grabbed a GMB water pump from O'Rielly's for $32.99 (price matched Autozone's stuff). GMB is considered one of the better brands for aftermarket stuff.

When it comes to parts like oil pump and water pump and stuff like that, I rather buy new. If JNZ has it for $303, that's the lowest Ive seen and that's were I'll probably get it from. Thanks for advise

You are welcome. Here is the link for the front case on JNZtuning. It's $222.99 for the pump + $79.99 for Helical gears or + $84.99 for straight cut gears.

Hope this helps!

JNZTuning has the oil pump with gaskets and gears for $214. I also checked out DSM Graveyard and there oil pump is $220. So far these are the two best places to get an OEM oil pump with gears and gaskets.

For the water pump, go to Autozone, get the new one, not remanufactured. Get the lifetime warranty and you can take your old one back and get another new one for free. There are no marks on the pumps showing that it is theirs or not.

to the untrained eye ;) trust me I work there and I know how to tell if something is from us or not(and yes there is different markings so idk where you got your info from). unless the part has actually been replaced from us by a previous owner then you can't really tell.

Well for my stock 420a we put a brand new ebay water pump at the time on (beacause I was stupid!).. and Ive put about 20,000 miles on it since which includes a trip to california from Missouri and back and overheated it like 3 times (Fan Problems) and havent had a problem yet.. as for oil cooler............ :X
