Below is a chart that compares the nozzle flow using the three most commonly used pumps by methanol injection companies. This chart is intended to show you how as nozzle size is increased the pressure of the system decreases.

On the nozzle pressure chart, the dashed line on the 250psi pump shows how increasing the adjuster on the built in by pass effects pressure. Most pumps have this built in, but as you can see, it will only effect the output on nozzle sizes 3 and smaller.

The 150psi and 250psi pumps both flow 1gpm and the 220psi flows at 1.8gpm.

Just trying to be informative.

There is more to the pump than the pressure switch rating. The deg of the cam has alot to do with output in the uper flow numbers.

Most all 100psi pumps will get to about 3gph and start loosing pressure from there on down to 50psi pretty quck as most have a smaller cam than the 150psi pumps do.

Cool chart, so Chance are you implying that by us leaving the DO pump alone at the 225psi setting we're getting the most out of the pump?

yes if you are running larger than a do3 nozzle than the acutall pressure in the system will lower with nozzle size. Everyone is always asking about adjusting the pumps adjuster and i say it does noting and people don't understand.

Any other questions?

Ais switched over to a very similar 250 psi pump we have been using.
The am pump i do have the data for it. I will post it up when i get a chance. They are not a very popular pump so i left it off this graph. They are a small pump.

rsr pumps i have honesty never tested one. The rating they rated them for would mean many of our customers would need 3-4 pumps to achieve the proper amount of fluid.
