i found a twin turbo kit for my car and want to get it but will everything addapt to my car with out any major mods

There is no twin turbo kit for out cars that is worth it. Only 1-2 people have successfully done this and they were both hand made kits. Hopefully by reading more about these cars you will realize the potential of the car with 1 turbo.

Have a link to the twin turbo kit? I gotta see this.

For 99.99% of people on this forum, there is very little reason to go twin turbo.

+1

I had a compound setup on my Diesel (small turbo lighting off a bigger turbo, 2007 Duramax. This exact setup comes stock on the Powerstrokes but it's more for emissions than performance) that worked great, something I saw a member on here building (got some great numbers on his compound setup).

Edit: He posted above LOL.

+1. I want to see this kit and how cheap the parts are and then LOL at it.

You will be better off running a single turbo. What is your reasoning for wanting to do a tt kit anyway? There would have to be a crap ton of mods under the hood to make it work properly and have custom parts made n

I, as well as everyone else would like to see a link before saying no for sure, but it most likely won't adapt easily without major mods.:toobad: You are better off just following the dsm "recipes" that have been proven. Paul Volk (99gst racer) is one of the exceptions to that though, but he is using compound turbocharging which is different from the twin turbo setup you are talking about.

OP is a troll. OP cant run a BLT, doesnt know that a bov is SUPPOSE to be recirculated from the factory, has a slighty moded motor that runs 15 psi of boost, a chipped auto tranny, and his turbo kicks in at 3k.

Please search the forums or google for christ sake.

twin turbo's perform better with a larger displacement engine

Paul seems to be making great progress with his setup (which is actually FS).

for 95% of people though a single turbo sized per their goals will be more than sufficient. Paul Volk started his sequential setup more as an experiement iirc, but its yielded awesome results and has proved a sequential setup on a 2.0 is feasible.

Not true, quite a few sub 3L motors out there that come with TT setups. (Audi being one of them). However, they are more viable on V-6s/8s/12s (nature of the beast).

You could probably run a TT setup with one remote and one on the mani but why? It'd still fall into the compound setup vs. a real TT setup.

You mean compound, not sequential.

i wanted to twin turbo my car because you see so many dsms that have turbos and i got to uti so im pretty good on working on cars and it would be a nice project to do for credits at my school

you CAN do a compound turbo set up but everything will need to be modified to fit check out 99gst_racer thread on his custom compound twin turbo set-up

Anytime I hear the words "universal kit" I look a different direction. Those "universal kits" are a PITA 99% of the time. With no exhaust manifold/s to mount the turbos you've basically got nothing and will require some very good fabrication skills to hang those turbos. No way in hell I would attempt to use a kit like that.:ohdamn: If you want a project to do on your car for school, maybe you should consider a bigger single turbo setup instead. Wouldn't that work for credits too? Or does it have to be something crazy like a tt setup to be considered a project?

Well that's far from a complete kit and if you ever got it to work, it would take a LOT of effort and would not be worth it. It's not really possible to call any twin turbo set-up universal. I recommend you stay away from that "kit" and do some more research on here to figure out a more reasonable upgrade path that would be right for you.
