Friggen awesome numbers man!! Just get and Evo3 IM and TB to squeeze some more power out of it! way cheaper than an SMIM.

I'm glad someone finally posted some numbers with this thing! I was hoping to get mine up before you did! LOL...

Good job bro!

Thanks but I am running a SMIM and a NA 1g TB... LOL Look at my mods in my profile if you want to know whats on the setup, I'm also running SD.

Nice numbers Corey...congrats!
Thanks a bunch Craig, you've been a huge help the last couple months too! That tech article about organizing logs and reading your threads on dsmlink are great.

I'm still debating on whether the fp 68hta is worth it considering the cost difference compared to an Evo III 16g, but your results are impressive so congrats! I've got plenty of time to decide though since the money for my new set-up won't be here until next summer:(. Either way, I'm very encouraged and envious of your build since mine will also be on a DD.

damn nice numbers man!! My best pull on corn juice with a 57 trim was 431hp 396 lb/ft, and you got the same results with a much faster spoolin turbo (as i can tell it's just a 16g according to your profile...am i wrong? )

Its not a 16g compressor wheel but other than that yes its a 16g, just on steroids. It hits 29psi at 4200 RPM...

UPDATE
I finally got the setup back on the dyno and the car was ready for it this time. Sam C. at RRE did a great job getting as much power to the wheels as he could while keeping it a VERY conservative tune on E85. I don't know how conservative 29psi on a stock bottom end really is, however the AFR's and the timing advance on E85 were conservative. My best friend Kris (banishedmunk) has helped me get the car to where it is today and I can't thank him enough!

I'll post a log and the dyno print out when he emails them to me so you can see the numbers for yourself, I'm nothing less than impressed with this turbo! And for everyone that thinks FP's advertised airflow for this thing is a bit high, we were logging 48 lbs/min in link...

440awhp, 390 ft-lbs tq.

Cool the big bold numbers were distracting me LOL, I was flowing that in my car with my turd 54 pos with a couple boost leaks. On pump with only 7-8 degrees of timing. My car felt pretty fast too but not fast enough.

I added meth now. 1250cc of it now and a couple new things, I can't wait to tune it now.

Congrats on the numbers. Do you have any plans to go to a drag strip with your car? I cant wait to start pushing my 68hta

Thats the only reason why I've built this car, its not a dyno queen its a DD/12 sec car I hope... Maybe faster if the driver new how to drive. :coy:
We're trying to convince him to go the 4th of September. Again, congrats Corey on the impressive #'s. I was there in person & this thing sounded badarse on the dyno :hellyeah:
Yea, we'll see if the girl still pushes Disneyland since I promised her we could go that weekend.

:dsm:

Yea, theres a BIG driver mod that needs to happen if this car wants to see 11's. I can run the car down at the local 1/8th mile track and do just fine, its seems like I have more time to stage and get the two step going. When I go to the big 1/4 mile track I think I need to slow down and forget about my reaction time, just get on the two step and launch when boost is where it should be to cut a good 60ft.

Keep on trying. We are dying to see times now LOL

Corey, take the warden with you to the track. By noon you'll have at least 3 runs under your belt. From there head over to Pomona, fill-her-up w/ corn juice & away you go to the happiest place on earth......;)

My girl or the car? Disneyland is the cra-happiest place on earth, the happiest place on earth is RRE but the girl doesn't see it that way. We'll see what happens, I'd run it in our 1/8th parking lot track down here but I don't want my car to blow up before I get it on the 1/4 track. :coy:

On earlier post, a few mentioned that you can get away with a mid-high 12:1 AFR and 22* of timing.

All car are different, different setups call for different things. Corey's car here started off with a 12.8:1 AFR on the first pull with 19* of peak timing. I dialed it back to 11:1 and pulled 2 degrees of timing and it made 3 horsepower less. Was running it on the bleeding edge worth the 3 hp? I'd rather have a car I can beat on for 30min lap sessions at Willow Springs during the summer in 113*F weather. Just full on WOT beating the piss out of the car for the whole time and never see knock at all. By the final numbers, I tried running leaner with more timing, but we were just at the max of his setup and any 3~6whp gains made just weren't worth it. If I squeezed every bit out of it, probably would of got 450ish whp and maybe 400ft tq. I'd sacrifice 10whp/tq for a way more conservative and longer lasting setup. Its like not wearing a condom with a girl you know has something, but it feels better without it. Not worth the risk.

Corey, you've gotta run that thing, 12's are easy with that power curve. If I can run 12's with my 16G setup, you better be able to beat me with that setup.

I hope! With more seat-time, good weather, and some luck a 11.XX is possible IMO. :D I've seen multiple 12.0X times trapping in the 115mph range...

As long as you can keep the 60' below 2.0 you should make it to 11's. I had a 1.884 60' and I grabbed an 11.8 in the 1/4. That was with 25ish psi of boost on a old td05h 20g in an uported evoIII turbine housing and a stock intake manifold. I predict you're going to trap over 120 easily.

Saturday was spent at the quarter mile track trying to click off an 11 sec. pass, unfortunately I had some clutch issues after just my second run. Although I couldn't get a 120 mph trap speed I think 11's are possible in the right conditions with my current setup, I was logging 115* IAT's sitting in the staging lanes.

Attached is the log (I start staging at 105 secs in) of my best pass , 12.07 @ 116 mph.

Good run, hopefully you can make it back with cooler temperatures. Did you try pulling the passenger head light to allow for some lower IATs?
