Ok Hi Yeah I'm new to the DSM world..kinda I'm 27 and since I was 16 I wanted a gsx but due to my military work hadn't been able to find one but I did find a rs that had a price i couldn't pass up. with that said
Yeah due to it being rs probably gonna be more rice at first then when I get finance right will start performance mods. I saw a 4 channel shift knob remote. can be wired to things from neon lights headlights and what not... Anyone seen or had this let me know. Thanks

you could sell the N/A and buy a turbo one.

Iv'e seen the turbo models sell for less around here than the gs and rs.

thats only if you wanna get alot of performance later down the road, sure you can make a rs or gs fast but it is cheaper to do it on a turbo model.

just a thought.

Yeah pissed me off 2 weeks after I got the rs there was a gsx same price. but to little to late. guess I will look around tax time...

I wouldn't go for that.

But that's just my .02.

Yeh, not to sound like a broken record man, but i think you should def look into some better mods instead of wasting money on that. back in the day i had a shit knob that had the shift pattern and numbers lit up, it was cool to me at the time, but the wire kept getting caught on the linkage and messing with the lights, i am sure this could be a similar headache.

I agree your money could be spent on things for near the same price that will make your car actually faster rather than looking fast. But don't be fooled you won't be getting hardly any performance out of a lot of money with a RS.

You can add around 15-20 hp to a stock 1g with just a boost controller that you can buy off ebay for 5 dollars... shipped.

For you to gain any real noticeable difference on the RS you are going to have to spend hundreds of dollars possibly even thousands.

yeah so I've changed my mind at the moment.. I'm looking to get a gsx in 6 months. I saw a review for it and the guy loved it ### the wires werent on the knob just a lil battery. and he used it for all the extra buttons so he didn't have to cut dash or make a switch panel. well Thanks for all the advice I will just wait around read up on my dsm tech that way I will have a good idea on what i can/want to do with the gsx.

Actually I am planning to buy one, also a knob kit for my radio. Since I read your posts about it I change my mind, I'll look for other things that my car need for some changes.

Ok Yeah got the GSX finally now it's back from the shop but still needs to go in Thanks for the advice. Now looking at a stage 3 clutch thats still streetable.

Fidanza 3.2 /w the Fidanza aluminum flywheel ftw.

But get the unsprung one.

How about making a clear resin ball, drill and tap it for the threads, hollow it out and fill it with rice, cap it off.

The true rice knob :thumb:

I bought my awd talon last august for 3500 cash. 6 bolt swap and some other bolt ons. great condition no rust or anything. I sold my gs for 4000 right before i bought it :)

I picked my 1g awd for $1500. It needed work but was unmolested and low miles. It all depends on whether you want a turn key dsm or project.

Edit: To stay on topic, forget that shift knob. Looks tacky and cheap.
