So after owning my DSM for 2 months, having put just under 1000 into it, buying a second DSM for possible parts car, my Spyder died. Yesterday it was confirmed to have Crankwalk and I was given directions on how to "put a bandaid on a compound fracture" to get it home. Got it home just fine, started it right up this a.m., then it stalled, now it won't start. Looks like I'm going to have to replace everything now. These cars are the definition of a Love/Hate relationship.:ohdamn:

Thanks for the offers. Both of mine are completely out of service now. The sooner the better. I might have a lead on a 2.4 to do a conversion with. Hopefully I can get this up and running again soon.

Does everyone get frustrated with these cars?

Here you go. built 4g63 eagle wiseco crower

you are about to start a project that is going to drain your brain just as much as it drains your bank accout. Just remember that the ways you perform tasks on your dsm will lead to the end results. Best way to go is just dont go the cheap and easy ways if you can avoid them. Good luck with your project

Does anyone know that engine builder in Surprise?

I am dealing with a mechanic that has built quite a few DSM's and will be building up mine as well. The reason for the 2.4 conversion is that they are much more readily available to find. Also, it will give a bit more torque throughout. If I'm not mistaken, there are only some Head modifications that need to be made since the 2.4 is also a 7 bolt.

I will definitely take heed of all the advice I get here, especially not to "cut" any corners.

2500 for a fully built (brand new everything) 6 bolt motor, j/e pistons, eagle rods, built top end, hks 272 cams ect... if you interested lmk i just have to put it together for you, i was gonna use it on my car but finances are pretty screwed right now... lmk
ps anyone else whos looking at this i WILL NOT part anything out, all or nothing cause if it doesnt sell im just gonna keep it
