Lmao man. Just was reading what justin was talking about in a local meet thread and he was talking about you saying and i quote "im going 10.4 or im breaking stuff".

You sir went 2 for 2 by 10.39ing and breaking stuff all in the same night.

My hat is off to you sir.

I wish you would have gotten me a log of that run... that car is ALMOST to fast to street tune now ;-) ...

New rear end and a little more boost... 10.2x's for the shootout???(IF its not 110 degrees and 100% humidity of course)...

Definitely hats off to you though.... I'm glad this year is turning out even better than we bargained for!!

The car has 9's in it FOR SURE. For this being a 35psi run, still on stock ignition, and his 60ft in this run was almost a tenth slower than his best of 1.56 at Mason Dixon (a tenth gained in the 60ft can gain you three tenths by the end of the track), I think we'll see 9's out of a HX40 very soon. :thumb:

Congrats on the terrific run.:thumb: That thing is pulling hard.:hellyeah: I LOL at the Dodge truck beside you on the second run when you broke. Looks like they wrote "BLOW IT UP" on the side with duct tape.LOL

Congratulations!!! I new you had it in it.

Has anyone with an aftermarket bolton housing ever gone this fast? I know the Lucas English car with the fp68hta has done 10.252 with 2600lbs (and MUCH better 60fts). But what about any aftermarket bolton housing with any turbo?

There's 8-10 more psi in it. And you've done .1 second better with the 60 ft OMG. How neat would it be to see at the shootout a 9 second T/E/L with a bolton turbo that's not a gutted shell!

I say its the transfer case thats broke; not the 4bolt rear or 4bolt axles.

From Dave's Profile:
Holset HX40 6 blade Pro with BEP T3/ .70 ar 3" V-band turbine housing, T3 ERL stainless cast Manifold

I wouldn't consider his set-up bolt on... but excellent results nevertheless.

How fast has a 7-blade HX35 gone?

GOOD JOB!!!!!!! Look's like the mph is low for that kind of ET and the weight of the car?Ya must have drove the wheels off that thing.....LOL Now let's see some 9's

Aha! I forget who has which housing. Kp116 has a bolton housing and dipped into the 10s :) . He's close to getting his back on the track with more uprades and same housing after finding he was running with bent valves that season.

Bolton hx35 has done 11.2 @ 126. Not sure if it was a 7blade or 8blade. Mr Peepers, of whom has already ran 11.2 this year with the e3 16g, is swapping on a stock housing 7blade hx35 twinscroll setup :) . . . That will be interesting.

He let off just past the 1000ft because of driveline vibration. We think the driveshaft was either made wrong or it out of balance because Dave is getting some serious vibration at 50-60mph and again at 130+mph.

Would've been closer to 140mph had he stayed in it the entire run, but he honestly came back and said he never thought that was a 10.3 pass.

Regarding the HX35, once Dave reaches his goal (which changes weekly- was originally 10's, then 10.5's, now 9's LOL), we're most likely putting a HX35 back on the car.

Lucas English also went 9.67@144 on the FP3065 with FP's bolt-on housing. Curt Brown went 9.4@146 on the FP3065 as well, though I can't find a video of that pass for Curt. Here is Lucas' 9.67@144 pass from last season:

^^^ You gotta love that there are bolton options out there that will net the rest of us 10s ;) . . . Thanx for the video.

I've had a bad carrier bearing make a driveshaft vibrate. . .

Curt is not using the FP bolt-on style housing- he is T3.

I've had a bad carrier bearing make a driveshaft vibrate. . .
Carrier was replaced when the aluminum driveshaft went on.

Dave drove the car around with the driveshaft removed a time or two and the vibration disappeared, so the problem is either the driveshaft itself or something in the rear diff that appears under load but is not a problem when spinning freely.

I'm piecing together that exact set-up but my hotside is the non-wastegated version to help facilitate V-Band O2 Housing fabrication.
Jim at JMF asked me to ship him my HX35 so he can fab a Divided T3 Manifold for it and guarantee fitment.
HX35's comp covers are larger diameter than Garrett S Comp Covers and JMF's manifolds are fabbed with S Covers in mind.
The manifold will also be a 1.25" ID schedule 10 tubing.

I have the necessary design skills, so so fab skills and no tools to make my own manifold... :toobad:

I've had a bad carrier bearing make a driveshaft vibrate. . .

I had one bad cup of bearings on my rear most u-joint and cause my car to vibrate excessively at 60-70mph. . .

Carrier was replaced when the aluminum driveshaft went on.

Dave drove the car around with the driveshaft removed a time or two and the vibration disappeared, so the problem is either the driveshaft itself or something in the rear diff that appears under load but is not a problem when spinning freely.

Could it be a bad u-joint?
