I need to convert my rear drums to rotors on my 99 RS. I need to know what to do and where to get the parts from and if I can find them in one kit. Any instructions or articles about this converstion will be helpfull. Pictures with instructions too. Thanks all

Check out my car domain site for instructions and pics of the process. You need the calipers, rotors, hubs with ebrake cables, brake lines, and caliper mounting bolts. Takes about 1.5-2 hrs your first time. I can get em on/off in about 30 min now. ;)

I just did this conversion today. I had e-brake cables from a gst and full spindle assembly's off a gst. I only used the hub w the caliper the rest of the spindle went on the scrap pile. First I disconected e-brake lines from inside the car...(it's easy to do if you remove the seats) I removed both e-brake lines. Then I disconected brake lines to drums and attached the calipers and put to the side out of my way. Here is where I saved alot of time..instead of breaking down the drum brake I unbolted the four hub bolts(keep these bolts) and removed hub with e-brake lines attached.
It was very easy puting the new e-brake lines in. From there I broke down the disc brake assembly, attaching e-brake cable and assembling brakes behide rotor, here is where I used those 4 bolts to attach new hub. From here everything looked good so I put the new rotor on and caliper with new brake lines. This took me about 3 hrs total and I had no clue what I was doing other than I put it back together the way it came apart. Also check the tension of you e-brake cables I had to losen mine..

what is a good web address to find rear brake conversion kits from drum to discs for a 1999 rs eclipse
